PMS 295 C is specified in the Pantone PMS system, a global color-matching reference widely used in branding and design. The color presents a dark, strong blue with a distinctly professional and technical vibe. Its appearance can be described as enduring, stable, formal, and authoritative, lending itself to serious and visible applications. PMS 295 C stands out in environments where clarity, consistency, and credibility are visually prioritized.
PMS 295 C has a very low light reflectance value (LRV 2.3), making it one of the deeper, less reflective blues in the Pantone range. The color conveys a cool tendency with distinctly blue undertones and no evident warmth. PMS 295 C exhibits strong chroma and high color saturation, resulting in a bold, assertive presence. The undertone is straightforward blue, without shifts toward green or violet. This color can appear notably darker or less vibrant in low lighting or matte finishes, and glossier finishes may amplify depth and richness.
PMS 295 C is often used in branding elements for high-visibility signage, dimensional letters, and environmental graphics. The color is frequently specified in corporate identity systems requiring consistent reproduction across printed materials, displays, and painted surfaces. PMS 295 C is a common selection for uniforms, fleet graphics, and trade show exhibits where clear brand distinction is important.
PMS 295 C is effective when a project requires a recognizable, authoritative blue that will retain consistency across a range of substrates and environments. Pay close attention to lighting conditions, as this dark blue can appear nearly black under subdued illumination; select gloss or semi-gloss finishes to achieve maximum saturation and color impact. Careful surface prep is important to achieve uniformity, as high-saturation colors may reveal application inconsistencies. While the color stands apart from lighter or warmer blues, compare side-by-side with similar dark blues in the intended lighting to assess fit and brand alignment.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

PMS 295 C can appear different across substrates because factors like material texture, porosity, and reflectivity influence how the color is perceived. For example, metals, plastics, and woods may each absorb and reflect light differently, changing the apparent depth and vibrancy of this deep blue. Matte and glossy finishes can also affect how dark or saturated PMS 295 C appears. For the most brand-consistent results, always evaluate PMS 295 C on the actual material and finish you plan to use in your final application, under the intended lighting conditions.

PMS 295 C is intended for brand color reproduction in signage, displays, and environments rather than for touch up or repair applications. If your goal is to achieve touch-up-grade accuracy on an existing surface, the best approach is to send a physical sample part to MyPerfectColor for a direct match. This ensures the color is matched specifically to your material, substrate, and finish, providing the most seamless appearance possible. Using the Pantone code alone may not account for surface or aging effects, so sending a part is recommended in these cases.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 295 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
