PMS 630 C is a designated color within the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection, broadly used for precise branding, marketing, and display purposes. The vibe of this color is light, fresh, technical, crisp, and cool. PMS 630 C provides a recognizable bright blue presence without the depth of darker blues or the softness of muted pastels.
- PMS 630 C appears light, with a moderate reflectance level (LRV 51.53), contributing to its open and uncluttered look.
- The color shows a clear cool tendency, situated on the spectrum as a cyan-leaning blue.
- It exhibits strong but not overly intense chroma, resulting in a vivid yet approachable appearance.
- The undertone is distinctly cool with no visible yellow or warm shift.
- The color may be sensitive to finish selection; gloss finishes can intensify its brightness, while matte sheens may mute its vibrancy.
PMS 630 C is frequently selected for projects that benefit from a fresh, vivid blue in branding and visual environments, especially when a crisp, modern effect is desired. It performs consistently under neutral lighting but can shift in appearance under warm or low light, where it may appear more muted or grayish. As with most cool, clean blues, PMS 630 C contrasts well with both light and dark elements, but its inherent clarity can diminish if applied in insufficiently opaque layers or over highly textured surfaces.

To optimize consistency when reordering PMS 630 C, use the same paint product type and sheen each time. Differences in formulation or finish can affect the final appearance. Always use the same Pantone reference (such as a swatch book or your approved sample) and the same approval method during each batch. This helps minimize variation and keeps results aligned with your brand standards for PMS 630 C.
For PMS 630 C, apply multiple light coats instead of one heavy coat when using spray paint. Allow each layer to dry according to the product instructions before applying the next. This approach improves coverage and helps maintain the vibrancy and consistency of PMS 630 C, especially since lighter and more saturated colors can require extra care for full opacity.
When evaluating paint samples of PMS 630 C, review them under consistent, neutral lighting to avoid unexpected shifts in appearance. Make sure samples are applied to the same substrate type you will use in production, and allow all coatings to fully dry or cure before making a judgment. This process helps ensure that color decisions are visually reliable and consistent with your brand guidelines for PMS 630 C.
The safety data sheet (SDS) is provided based on the paint product or chemistry selected, not the Pantone PMS 630 C color code. Check the SDS library for the type of paint you are using, or refer to the product page for access to the correct SDS for your PMS 630 C order.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 630 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
