PMS 299 C (Pantone PMS system) is a saturated, bright blue frequently associated with energy and strong brand presence. Its visual character is highly chromatic, vivid, and unmistakably cool. The vibe is technical, clean, extroverted, and assertive, making PMS 299 C a functional choice for situations where immediate recognition and color memorability matter.
PMS 299 C appears moderately light, with a calculated LRV of 28.12. The color shows a distinctly cool tendency. PMS 299 C exhibits high saturation, reading as vivid and intense in application. The color features a clear bias toward a blue undertone, without prominent mixed hues. PMS 299 C is sensitive to finish; gloss or satin sheens can amplify its vibrancy, while matte finishes may reduce perceived chroma.
PMS 299 C is regularly specified where a clean, attention-grabbing blue is required—particularly in environments prioritizing strong visual branding. It works well when presented against contrasting or neutral backgrounds and is commonly chosen to ensure consistency across signage, displays, and experiential elements. Care should be taken with finish selection; high-gloss can accentuate the chroma, while lower sheens may soften its visual impact. In brightly lit environments, the color maintains its vibrancy, but subdued or indirect lighting can render the hue more muted. Relative to other branding blues, PMS 299 C behaves as one of the most vibrant—less subdued and more electric than similar cool blues.

Ordering PMS 299 C paint as a Pantone match means you are specifying a color formulation designed to visually align as closely as possible to the Pantone PMS 299 C color standard. The Pantone code identifies only the color target, not the paint formula, gloss level, or substrate. It does not guarantee a match to other coatings or processes using the same name but ensures reference to a widely recognized standard for brand consistency. Product selection, finish, and surface can all influence the final appearance.
The need for primer when applying PMS 299 C paint depends on the type of paint, the surface material (such as metal, plastic, wood, or drywall), and the end use. Primers are generally recommended for uncoated, porous, or difficult-to-bond surfaces, or when switching between paint types. For vivid, cool colors like PMS 299 C, primer can help achieve uniform coverage and support color vibrancy. Always review guidelines for the specific paint product and application to determine if primer is required.
Safety considerations for PMS 299 C paint products depend on the paint chemistry and format you select. Review the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for your specific product before use. Use only in well-ventilated areas, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and follow safe handling and disposal practices. Pantone color specification refers only to color and does not dictate safety characteristics.
PMS 299 C paint is made to order to ensure color fidelity for brand and marketing use. Lead times vary depending on product type and current production volume. Many orders ship within a few business days, but larger quantities or specialty formats may require additional production time. Plan ahead and confirm current lead times if your project is deadline sensitive.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 299 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
