PMS 515 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) color used in professional branding, display, and industrial design applications. This color offers a lively and upbeat vibe, with practical descriptors including: fresh, approachable, energetic, modern, and noticeable. The system/collection is Pantone PMS, which is a global specification standard for consistent color reproduction across materials and environments.
PMS 515 C presents as a mid-light value; LRV is 48.28. The color displays a notably cool tendency, owing to its pink basis with a blue undertone. PMS 515 C demonstrates moderate-to-high perceived saturation. The color reveals a clear bluish undertone, distinguishing it from warmer or peach-toned pinks. The color's appearance can shift with finish; glossier finishes accentuate its vibrancy while matte finishes may shift it towards a softer look.
PMS 515 C is suitable for projects aiming for an energetic and engaging visual effect where a branded, specific pink is needed. It functions well in environments requiring visual clarity or a sense of playfulness but should be evaluated carefully under project lighting—cool lighting may intensify its blue undertone, while warm lighting could mute its vibrancy. The moderately high saturation of PMS 515 C brings attention but can emphasize surface imperfections if preparation is insufficient. Coverage may require extra attention compared to more muted tones.
Similar colors:
PMS 517 C – Lighter and less saturated, resulting in a softer and more muted pink.
PMS 513 C – Darker and more chromatic, with a deeper magenta appearance.
PMS 212 C – Warmer and brighter, leaning more towards a vivid bubblegum pink.

Pantone PMS 515 C is often specified in product prototypes and concept models when it is important to visually match brand color standards. For prototype workflows, select a paint format that matches your application needs, such as spray paint for uniform coverage on 3D surfaces or a paint pen for detail work. Keep in mind that the appearance of PMS 515 C can change with finish (matte vs gloss) and lighting. It is best practice to evaluate color appearance under the lighting conditions similar to the intended final environment. Color shifts or visual variation may occur between materials, so if the prototype substrate differs from the final production material, you may want to test with a sample first. MyPerfectColor offers PMS 515 C in spray paint and other formats suitable for branded model evaluation and presentations.
One standard spray can of paint matched to Pantone PMS 515 C typically covers about 20 to 25 square feet per coat on smooth, primed surfaces. However, the actual coverage may be less for PMS 515 C because its vivid, moderately high saturation means more coats may be needed for full opacity, especially over contrasting or unprimed surfaces. To estimate quantities, measure your surface area and plan for 2 to 3 coats, especially for brand-critical displays or prototypes. Consider factors such as surface texture and color of the underlying material, as rough or dark substrates will require more paint to achieve even color. Always round up your estimate to avoid running short mid-project.
The safety and VOC (volatile organic compound) characteristics of paint matched to Pantone PMS 515 C depend on the specific product type and formulation you select. Always review the product's Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use to understand any hazards, ventilation requirements, and personal protective equipment recommendations. Use paint in well-ventilated areas and follow safe handling practices. Safety and regulatory requirements may vary based on whether you select a spray paint, brush-on, or industrial coating for PMS 515 C. MyPerfectColor provides an SDS for each product format on request.

Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 515 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
