Pantone™ PMS 212 C

PMS 212 C is widely recognized in the marketing and display industry as a vivid, bold pink chosen for distinctive branding applications. Ordering a standard PMS 212 C match is typically appropriate for marketing, trade show, exhibit, or temporary brand installations where visual alignment with the Pantone PMS reference is required. This approach works well for prototypes, display components, and signage where achieving brand-consistent color is more important than exact substrate or finish replication. For applications needing formal brand review or permanent environments, or where materials vary, consider sampling on your specific substrate before final production.

The perceived color of PMS 212 C can change noticeably depending on surface texture. Glossier, smoother finishes usually make the color appear brighter and more saturated, while matte or textured surfaces can make it look a bit softer or less intense. Shadows and light scattering from rougher textures may affect how vivid the pink appears. To achieve the closest brand match, test the color sample on the intended substrate and with the same finish as the final application under the actual lighting conditions.

One spray can of PMS 212 C typically covers about 15 to 20 square feet per coat, depending on surface type, spray technique, and environmental conditions. Because PMS 212 C is a highly saturated pink, multiple coats may be needed for full hide, especially over light or contrasting base colors. For best results, estimate the total area, consider the need for at least two coats, and plan for extra coverage on porous or uneven surfaces.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
