Pantone™ PMS 4995 C

The durability of PMS 4995 C spray paint depends on preparation of the substrate, the environment it will be exposed to, and whether an appropriate clear topcoat is applied. For brand displays and marketing environments, good surface prep and a protective clearcoat are strongly recommended, especially for high-traffic or outdoor areas. Choose the spray paint formulation based on your project's exposure needs. While PMS 4995 C can be matched accurately for visual brand alignment, be aware that color and finish appearance may shift over time if surfaces are not properly protected.

PMS 4995 C is a muted, dark reddish-brown that requires even coverage for accurate brand presentation, especially across large panels or displays. For the most consistent results, plan your application in advance: use consistent spray technique, overlap passes slightly, and maintain a wet edge. Apply multiple light coats instead of one heavy coat to avoid patchiness and streaks. Ambient lighting and substrate color can affect uniformity, so choose a primer or basecoat that is neutral and test a sample area before finishing the full project.

PMS 4995 C is often selected for prototypes and concept models when visual alignment with brand standards is required. To support accurate evaluation, choose the paint format that fits your model's material and finish needs, such as spray paint for broad coverage or paint pens for details. Evaluate the color under the lighting and finish conditions the final product will have, as PMS 4995 C can shift slightly between matte and glossy sheens. This approach helps ensure stakeholders see the color as intended for the actual brand environment.

PMS 4995 C can be ordered in several formats to support brand and display projects, including custom spray paint, paint pens, brush-in-cap bottles, and select coating types such as epoxy or urethane. Choose the format that matches your application process and the surface material. For most signage, displays, and prototypes, spray paint is common, while paint pens and brush-in-cap bottles are useful for details or small surfaces. If your project has specific durability or finish requirements, consider requesting a sample first to confirm color appearance and performance.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
