PMS 3295 C, specified within the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection, presents a striking, saturated bluish green frequently described as bold, technical, and contemporary. With an LRV of 13.84, PMS 3295 C is visually intense and leans toward the darker side of the color spectrum. This color conveys a sense of clarity, precision, and brand-oriented energy, frequently selected for marketing materials, displays, and branded spaces demanding strong color definition.

PMS 3295 C appears distinctly dark due to its low light reflectance value. The color displays a cool undertone, derived from its prominent blue/green hue bias. PMS 3295 C is qualitatively highly saturated, reading as vivid and clean rather than muted. The undertone is primarily cool, with a slight blue influence balanced by green. This color may exhibit noticeable finish sensitivity, appearing deeper in gloss finishes and more muted or powdery in matte or flat finishes.

PMS 3295 C works well where a distinctive, high-visibility greenish blue is needed for brand alignment or visual control, such as trade show booths, retail fixtures, and branded environmental elements. Users should note that such saturated colors may require additional coats for solid coverage, especially over lighter substrates. This color’s cool cast can shift somewhat depending on the lighting type (daylight versus fluorescent or LED), so it should always be evaluated in final lighting conditions. Compared to similar hues, PMS 3295 C holds greater chromatic intensity and may read more commanding or technical than less saturated greens or teals.

Similar colors:
PMS 3278 C – Slightly lighter and less saturated; appears fresher and more moderate in depth.

PMS 3288 C – Darker and more muted; reads as a deeper, more reserved green-blue.

PMS 334 C – Warmer and greener; moves perceptually closer to a bright, clean emerald and away from blue.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 3295 C

Why does PMS 3295 C look different on plastics, metals, or painted wood?

PMS 3295 C may appear different across materials due to how each substrate absorbs and reflects light. Surface texture, base color, gloss, and porosity all influence the final look. A painted metal part may look deeper or glossier than a painted wood or plastic part. For the most accurate brand results, always evaluate PMS 3295 C on the actual material and finish you plan to use in your final display or build.

How much area does a spray can of PMS 3295 C cover, and how should I estimate quantity?

One typical spray can of PMS 3295 C covers about 20 to 25 square feet with a single coat, but highly saturated colors like PMS 3295 C often require additional coats for solid, uniform color. Surface texture, color of the substrate, and the complexity of shapes or edges impact total coverage. For best results, calculate total project area, consider substrate absorbency, and plan for extra spray cans if painting over a light or uneven surface.

What should I know about using PMS 3295 C in prototypes or concept models?

PMS 3295 C is frequently chosen for prototypes and concept models to visualize brand-aligned colors before committing to full production. It can be supplied as spray paint, paint pens, or small paint containers. For accurate evaluation, apply PMS 3295 C to sample components using the same substrate and finish as the proposed final application. This helps confirm the color appearance under intended lighting and material conditions.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 3295 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How much area will one spray can cover? And what is Pantone PMS 3295 C spray paint made of?

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 3295 C. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

Do I need a primer for Pantone PMS 3295 C?
The need for primer for Pantone PMS 3295 C depends on the type of paint, the substrate being painted and where it will be located. See our Primer Selection Table to see what primer you might need and learn more about when you might need a primer. Most people don't use a primer for a touch up paint application, but a primer may improve adhesion and is typically recommended for exterior applications.
How do I convert PMS 3295 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 3295 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
