Pantone™ PMS 3288 C

When using paint products matched to PMS 3288 C, always review the Safety Data Sheet specific to the product you have selected, as safety requirements can differ based on format and chemistry. Use proper ventilation, wear personal protective equipment such as gloves and masks as directed, and follow safe handling, storage, and disposal instructions outlined on the label and SDS. Never assume all PMS 3288 C paint formats have the same handling or VOC requirements.

The choice between matte and gloss for PMS 3288 C affects how the color appears in your brand display. Gloss finishes increase saturation and chroma, making the dark blue-green look more vivid and eye-catching, but may introduce glare in direct light. Test your selected product on the same substrate and under the actual lighting conditions planned for final display. Since PMS 3288 C is dark and saturated, multiple coats may be needed for full coverage and consistency. Evaluate appearance after drying and, if required, adjust surface prep, number of coats, or finish to meet your visual goals.

PMS 3288 C is available in multiple paint formats including custom spray paint, paint pens, brush-in-cap bottles, and other coatings where offered. The best format depends on your application needs. Spray paint is commonly used for even coverage on fabricated parts or displays, while paint pens and brush-in-cap bottles are useful for smaller details or edges in branding prototypes. Consider the scale of your project, the type of substrate, and the desired application method before ordering to ensure correct and consistent results.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
