PMS 334 C is a designated color standard in the Pantone Matching System, recognized for its distinctly cool, clean, and bold visual presence. It presents as a vivid teal-green with a moderate depth, positioned between primary green and blue hues. The color is valued in marketing, display fabrication, and industrial design contexts for its visual clarity, technical modernity, and ability to convey fresh, energetic branding cues.

PMS 334 C appears moderately dark, with an LRV of 21.05 indicating relatively low reflectance compared to many saturated greens. The color tends strongly cool, sitting near the blue-green quadrant of the spectrum. PMS 334 C is highly saturated, presenting a strong, chromatic appearance that stands out in most environments. The color exhibits a notable blue undertone that differentiates it from warmer, yellow-leaning greens. PMS 334 C can be finish-sensitive; shifts in gloss or lighting may noticeably alter its vibrancy and perceived saturation.

PMS 334 C works effectively where a bold, technical green is required for clear visual impact and modern brand expression. Its high chroma means coverage may be less opaque over light or uneven substrates, so surface preparation and considering a tinted primer is advisable. The color can appear brighter or more saturated in glossy finishes and under direct lighting; always evaluate paint samples under project lighting conditions. Compared to other saturated greens, PMS 334 C leans distinctly cooler and more vivid, and is less muted than deeper or more olive-toned alternatives.

Similar colors:
PMS 347 C: Slightly lighter and more yellow, resulting in a warmer and more classic green appearance.

PMS 3285 C: Darker and more blue-driven, delivering a deeper, more teal visual balance.

PMS 339 C: Lighter and more luminous, with less visible depth and a more pastel effect.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 334 C

How does the finish or sheen affect the appearance of Pantone PMS 334 C in display or branding applications?

The finish chosen for PMS 334 C can make the color appear noticeably different in real-world installations. A glossy finish will increase the perceived brightness and saturation of PMS 334 C, making it look more vibrant and bold. Satin or matte finishes tend to mute the vibrancy and may make the color appear slightly darker or less saturated. For brand and display work, always decide on the finish early and review physical samples of PMS 334 C under your actual lighting conditions to ensure brand consistency and the intended visual impact.

Why should I order a sample of Pantone PMS 334 C for brand approval before a large rollout?

PMS 334 C is a highly saturated teal-green that can shift in appearance depending on substrate, lighting, and finish. Ordering a sample allows your team to confirm that the color meets brand standards in your actual environment. This step helps you avoid costly mismatches later and ensures signoff on both hue and finish before full production or installation. Evaluate the sample of PMS 334 C directly on your intended surface, under the lighting conditions where it will be seen, for the most accurate approval.

How should I use Pantone PMS 334 C in prototypes or concept models to ensure accurate brand color evaluation?

When using PMS 334 C on prototypes or concept models, choose a product format that matches your intended final application, such as spray paint for display components. Test PMS 334 C on the actual substrate type and in the finish that will be used in production. This approach helps you and your stakeholders accurately judge the color''s alignment with brand standards under real-world conditions and make informed decisions before moving forward with larger builds.

What factors can affect the shipping and transit time for my Pantone PMS 334 C paint order?

The delivery time for PMS 334 C paint depends on your delivery location, the type of shipping selected, and current carrier schedules. Expedited methods may not always be available for custom-mixed paint formats, especially those that require hazardous material handling. To meet project or launch deadlines, order PMS 334 C as early as possible and review estimated ship dates at checkout. If timing is critical for a branding or display installation, confirm your production schedule with shipping lead times before placing large orders.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 334 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 334 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 334 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
