PMS 2995 C is part of the Pantone PMS collection, a standardized system frequently used to ensure consistent color reproduction for branding, marketing, and industrial design environments. This color is recognized for its vivid, lively, and contemporary character, often described as energetic, bold, clean, and corporate. PMS 2995 C tends to stand out in visual communications and is selected for its strong chromatic impact.

PMS 2995 C appears moderately light, with an LRV of 28.12. The color exhibits a distinct cool tendency based on its hue angle, falling within the blue range. The color is highly saturated, presenting an intense and vivid blue. PMS 2995 C displays a subtle underlying brightness, making it especially prominent under direct light. The color’s appearance can shift slightly depending on gloss level and surrounding lighting, with higher gloss finishes intensifying its vibrancy.

PMS 2995 C is effective when strong brand visibility and recognition are priorities, such as in marketing displays, signage, and prototypes requiring clear blue coloration. For application, consider that vivid blues like this may be sensitive to lighting changes and finish selection, which can impact perceived brightness and depth. Expect multiple coats for full coverage on contrasting substrates, as saturated colors may display lower hide. When specifying PMS 2995 C, sample both the physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample under intended lighting and finish conditions to ensure alignment across production materials.

Similar colors:
PMS 299 C – Similar in hue but slightly lighter and less saturated, producing a more subdued effect.

PMS 3005 C – Slightly darker and deeper blue, resulting in a more robust and corporate-oriented appearance.

PMS 306 C – Noticeably lighter and appears with a touch more cyan, contributing a brighter and airier tone.

PMS 638 C – Cooler and more muted with a lower chroma, offering a less vivid blue alternative.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2995 C

When ordering paint for Pantone PMS 2995 C, do I need to use the exact code or is the name enough?

For Pantone PMS 2995 C, it is important to provide the complete code, including any suffixes such as 'C' for coated, when ordering paint. Using only the color name or an incomplete code increases the risk of receiving a product that does not match your intended brand standard. Always confirm that the code on your order matches the code specified in your brand or project documentation.

Why does PMS 2995 C sometimes look different under various lighting conditions?

PMS 2995 C is a vivid, saturated blue, and its appearance can shift noticeably under different light sources and viewing conditions. Factors like sunlight, fluorescent, or LED lighting can affect the perceived brightness, depth, and even the hue of the color. For brand-critical applications, always evaluate PMS 2995 C both as a physical Pantone standard and as a paint sample in the actual lighting and setting where it will be used.

Can I return or exchange paint matched to Pantone PMS 2995 C if the color is not what I expected?

Paint matched to Pantone PMS 2995 C is custom made to order and is not typically eligible for return or exchange if the wrong product, sheen, or format is selected. To avoid issues, carefully confirm the required paint type and finish, and sample the color if appearance under specific conditions is critical to your project.

Is Pantone PMS 2995 C matched paint suitable for precise touch-up applications on finished items?

Pantone PMS 2995 C matched paint is designed for brand color reproduction on new components, displays, and prototypes. If you need a precise match for an existing, finished item, it is best to send a physical part for custom matching. Relying solely on the Pantone PMS 2995 C standard may not achieve the exact result needed for touch-up due to substrate and finish differences.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 2995 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 2995 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 2995 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
