PMS 2706 C refers to both the color name and its official Pantone code, which together identify a single, standardized color target in the Pantone Matching System. When ordering, always reference the complete code, including any suffix such as 'C' for coated, to avoid confusion with other Pantone variants. For best results, use the code exactly as specified in your brand guidelines or project documentation to ensure you receive paint that matches the intended brand color standard.

A standard spray can of PMS 2706 C covers about 20 to 25 square feet per coat under ideal conditions. Actual coverage depends on surface texture, color contrast, and application method. For brand or display projects where uniformity is critical, plan for at least two coats, and consider extra for highly absorbent or textured substrates. Calculating your total area and factoring in test sprays and multiple passes ensures better consistency of color appearance across your installation.

The finish you choose for PMS 2706 C paint can noticeably change its appearance. Glossier finishes tend to increase the apparent color depth and make the blue seem slightly more saturated, while matte finishes produce a softer, less intense look. In branding and display work, always review samples in the planned finish under your typical lighting to avoid unexpected shifts in perceived color. This is especially important for PMS colors with subtle chroma or undertones like PMS 2706 C.

To maintain uniformity with PMS 2706 C on large areas, use consistent spraying techniques and apply each coat evenly, overlapping slightly. Work methodically across sections and keep a wet edge to avoid lap marks. Plan your number of coats based on substrate color and finish requirements, and apply samples beforehand on your actual material under project lighting. This approach helps ensure consistent brand color delivery for signage, displays, or experiential spaces.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
