Pantone™ PMS 2645 C

Pantone books provide the official reference standard for PMS 2645 C, printed on coated paper with a specific gloss level. Paint matched to PMS 2645 C may appear different when applied to other substrates or finished in matte, satin, or gloss, due to changes in reflectivity and texture. For best results, always compare your painted sample to the Pantone book standard under final lighting and on the actual material to see how the color will look in your application.

The choice between matte and gloss for PMS 2645 C depends on your visual goals and the environment. Gloss offers higher color saturation and vibrancy but can increase glare, especially under direct lights. Matte reduces reflection and glare for a softer look, but colors may appear slightly muted and darker. Consider the lighting, viewing distance, and the need to minimize reflections when choosing the finish. When in doubt, sample both finishes on your display material in the intended location to evaluate the difference.

Surface texture can noticeably affect how PMS 2645 C appears on your project. Smooth surfaces tend to reflect light more evenly, making colors look brighter and more saturated. Rough or textured surfaces scatter light and increase shadowing, which can make the color appear darker or less intense. Always test PMS 2645 C on the specific material and texture you will use to confirm the final appearance before proceeding with full production.

Sampling PMS 2645 C is strongly recommended for high-visibility brand installations, large displays, or projects where exact appearance is critical. Sampling helps confirm the color under your specific lighting, finish, and substrate conditions, reducing risk of mismatched or unexpected results. Always review samples in the same environment and material as your final project for best brand consistency.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
