PMS 2623 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) standard color, recognized for its deep, rich violet character with pronounced saturation and minimal light reflectance. Within the PMS collection, it is frequently valued in professional environments that demand highly distinctive, visually memorable color applications. The vibe is assertive, sophisticated, technical, and visually impactful, making it operationally relevant for identity and display projects.
PMS 2623 C displays a very dark appearance; LRV is 3.52, indicating minimal reflectance. The color is strongly cool due to its pronounced violet hue with subtle blue undertones. The saturation level is high, giving the color intensity and vibrancy. PMS 2623 C exhibits a distinctly purple undertone, leaning slightly toward blue rather than red. The color’s dark value and chromatic intensity can be affected by finish; glossier surfaces may enhance vibrancy, while matte finishes may slightly mute its depth.
PMS 2623 C is operationally effective when a highly saturated, deep, and cool purple is needed to convey strong visual identity or brand differentiation. It performs well on signage, branded displays, and fabricated elements where high color fidelity is required. Due to its low reflectance, PMS 2623 C can appear nearly black in low light or on matte surfaces, so confirm appearance with both physical Pantone chips and painted samples under intended lighting and finish conditions. To achieve uniform coverage, multiple coats may be necessary, particularly when applied over light primers or on high-contrast surfaces.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

When selecting PMS 2623 C for pop-up or retail environments, confirm the paint finish and color appearance under the actual lighting conditions where the installation will be viewed. Since PMS 2623 C is a very dark, highly saturated violet with minimal light reflectance, even small changes in finish or lighting can impact how the color looks. Glossier surfaces can make the color appear more vibrant, while matte finishes may mute its depth and increase the risk of the color looking nearly black in low light. Always test a physical Pantone chip and a painted sample on your actual material before proceeding with a large or permanent installation. This helps confirm that the applied color meets your visual and brand consistency requirements. Multiple coats may be needed for uniform results, especially when covering lighter undercoats or contrasting substrates.

Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
