PMS 210 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) standard color recognized for its clean, playful, and approachable appearance. It belongs to the Pantone PMS collection, which is a standardized reference widely relied upon for consistent color reproduction in brand-focused applications. The vibe is vivid, youthful, energetic, and visually engaging, with a strong tendency toward light, saturated pinks.

PMS 210 C appears as a light pink with moderate light reflectance (LRV 49.89). The color tends toward a cool pink, with a visible blue-red bias. It displays saturated chroma, resulting in clear, vivid color expression. PMS 210 C shows a clean undertone, free of obvious yellow or muted gray notes. This color can be sensitive to finish; glossier sheens may heighten vibrancy while matte finishes may soften the hue’s visual impact.

PMS 210 C is commonly specified when a distinct, visually assertive light pink is required for marketing displays, branding collateral, or product prototypes that must align closely with Pantone reference standards. It works well in environments seeking a fresh, approachable, or youthful tone. Care should be taken to evaluate the finish and lighting conditions, as these can influence apparent color intensity. Coverage may require careful application, particularly on contrasting base substrates, due to its saturation and moderate lightness compared to more muted hues.

Similar colors:
PMS 189 C — lighter and slightly less saturated, resulting in a softer, pastel appearance.

PMS 205 C — darker and more intense, offering a deeper, more vibrant pink.

PMS 212 C — similar brightness but warmer, with a slightly more red undertone.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 210 C

What factors affect the durability of Pantone PMS 210 C spray paint in branding or display applications?

The durability of Pantone PMS 210 C spray paint depends on several key factors: surface preparation, the type of substrate, the use of topcoats, and the environment in which it is used. For best results, surfaces should be clean, primed if needed, and compatible with the selected paint. Adding a suitable clear topcoat can improve resistance to handling and environmental exposure. For outdoor or high-contact uses, choose an exterior-rated or industrial-grade paint type suited to your exposure requirements. Review the product format options and confirm they meet your intended application and durability needs.

How should I prepare a surface before applying Pantone PMS 210 C paint for best adhesion?

Proper surface preparation helps achieve consistent results with Pantone PMS 210 C paint. Begin by cleaning the surface to remove dust, oils, and residue. Degrease any areas exposed to handling or manufacturing agents. Lightly scuff glossy or smooth surfaces to promote adhesion, as needed. Always test your paint on a small area before full application to ensure compatibility and appearance. Proper prep reduces the risk of peeling or uneven color, especially for brand-critical displays and prototype work.

What should I know about coverage and hiding power when applying Pantone PMS 210 C paint?

Pantone PMS 210 C is a light, saturated pink with moderate hiding power. Highly saturated colors like this may require additional coats for full, uniform coverage, especially over contrasting or dark substrates. Using a primer or a white base can help achieve better vibrancy and reduce the number of coats needed. Plan for possible extra material and time when working with PMS 210 C to ensure your final result matches the intended Pantone standard for brand or marketing applications.

How do I choose the right Pantone PMS 210 C paint type for interior versus exterior projects?

When specifying Pantone PMS 210 C, select the paint type based on whether your project is indoors or outdoors. For interior displays, prototypes, and brand environments, interior-grade paint usually provides suitable appearance and handling. For exterior use or areas exposed to weather, choose an exterior-rated or industrial-quality paint to ensure color performance and durability. Matching your paint chemistry to the environment is important for maintaining the visual impact and brand consistency of PMS 210 C over time.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 210 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 210 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Can I use the Pantone PMS 210 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How do I convert PMS 210 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 210 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
