PMS 1777 C from the Pantone PMS collection is widely used in branding and design where consistent and bold identity colors are needed. The color conveys a lively, energetic, and attention-grabbing vibe while remaining accessible and professional. PMS 1777 C is recognized for its high chroma, saturated warmth, and clarity, making it suitable for impactful display, marketing, and identity-oriented applications.
PMS 1777 C presents as a moderately light and vibrant red, with an LRV of 32.8 indicating moderate light reflectance. The color shows a distinctly warm tendency. PMS 1777 C demonstrates strong chroma and high saturation, contributing to its bold appearance. The undertone is clean and warm, with orange-red influence evident in most viewing conditions. The appearance can shift under different finishes; gloss settings may increase the perceived chroma, while matte finishes may slightly mute the saturation.
PMS 1777 C is frequently specified for brand displays and marketing installations where energetic red tones are required.
PMS 1777 C functions effectively when consistent, high-visibility color is needed in branded, marketing, or exhibit environments. Careful surface preparation is important for optimal coverage, as highly saturated reds may require additional coats to reach uniform opacity. Lighting and finish selection have a significant impact on the perceived warmth and intensity of this color; always verify appearance using physical samples and under actual installation conditions. Compared to less saturated reds, PMS 1777 C reads as more vivid and dynamic, with a greater visual draw.

To ensure you get the right PMS 1777 C paint, always specify the exact Pantone PMS color code and suffix. In this case, the code is 'PMS 1777 C.' The 'C' indicates the coated version, which is important for targeting the correct color standard. Avoid using only the color name or omitting the suffix, as Pantone offers many similar numbers in different series. When ordering, double-check the code and detail to match your brand standard or specification exactly. This helps prevent costly errors or mismatched color targets.
PMS 1777 C is available in different paint types to suit both interior and exterior uses. For indoor branding, displays, or prototypes, select an interior paint format for best results. For outdoor branding or signage, order exterior-grade paint formulated for weather resistance. Always choose a product designed for your project's intended environment to maintain color consistency and durability. If you are unsure, consult your project requirements or contact support for clarification on interior versus exterior exposure needs before ordering.
Batch-to-batch consistency for PMS 1777 C is strongest when you use the same product type, sheen, and reference target each time you order. Always specify 'PMS 1777 C' with identical finish requirements and, if possible, approve all batches visually under the same lighting conditions. Changes in paint type, supplier, or finish may result in visible variation. For brand-critical work, maintain detailed records of your approved samples and communicate your acceptance standards every time you reorder.
For best results with PMS 1777 C, start by cleaning the surface to remove any dust, oils, or residue. Degrease if needed, and lightly scuff glossy surfaces to improve adhesion. Ensure the substrate is dry and free from loose material. Highly saturated reds like PMS 1777 C may need extra coats for full coverage, so apply a test spot before full application. Proper surface prep helps achieve uniform color and long-term appearance for your branded installation or display.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 1777 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
