PMS 1765 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System), a standardized color reference used in brand specification and color-critical production. This color presents a clear, vivid, and energetic presence with a light to medium intensity. The overall vibe is modern, playful, approachable, and attention-grabbing, suited for projects that require a strong, recognizable pink.

PMS 1765 C appears as a light-to-moderate pink, neither pastel nor deep. The color is moderately light, with a light reflectance value (LRV) of 48.28, giving it noticeable presence without overwhelming brightness. It has a clear, warm tendency, with a red-pink undertone that emphasizes energy over subtlety. The saturation is pronounced, contributing to its vivid visual effect. PMS 1765 C displays warmth, with minimal coolness or blue-violet influence. The color is moderately sensitive to finish; gloss may intensify its brightness, while matte finishes may soften its visual impact.

PMS 1765 C works well when a bold, recognizable pink is required for brand communications, displays, or underlying product color. It performs best in environments with controlled or neutral lighting, as strong colored light or shadows can shift its perceived temperature. Coverage may be moderate due to its chromatic clarity; evaluate substrate color and surface preparation before application, as background tones can influence the final result. Compared to similar vivid pinks, PMS 1765 C maintains a balanced saturation—neither too fluorescent nor muted—making it suitable for both large-scale branding and accent uses.

Similar colors:
PMS 1777 C: Slightly lighter and more orange-toned, offering a warmer, more coral-pink effect.

PMS 191 C: Somewhat deeper and more saturated, providing a stronger and more intense pink.

PMS 1895 C: Lighter and less saturated, appearing closer to a pastel pink.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 1765 C

What is the difference between the name and code for Pantone PMS 1765 C, and how do I order the correct color?

The color name PMS 1765 C and its code both refer to a specific standardized color in the Pantone Matching System. When ordering paint or specifying this color for a project, always use the exact Pantone code 'PMS 1765 C', including any suffix like 'C' for Coated. This ensures you receive the intended color target for brand, display, or marketing applications. Using only a general color name or omitting the code can lead to confusion or incorrect results, as Pantone color names are not unique across series or finishes.

How can I get help choosing the right paint type for Pantone PMS 1765 C?

If you are unsure which paint type or format to select for PMS 1765 C, contact MyPerfectColor with details about your substrate, environmental exposure, and finish preferences. Providing this information helps ensure the product chosen will perform well for your brand, display, or marketing project while achieving an accurate color match to PMS 1765 C. MyPerfectColor offers this color in spray paint and other professional formats suitable for branding and display use.

Are there special coverage or hide considerations when using Pantone PMS 1765 C paint?

PMS 1765 C is a vivid and saturated pink. Bright and saturated Pantone colors like this often require additional coats to achieve uniform coverage, especially over contrasting substrates. For best results, evaluate the background material and consider priming to ensure that the final color matches your brand standards. Be aware that gloss or matte finishes can also affect how bright or soft the color appears in your finished project.

When is ordering a standard Pantone PMS 1765 C paint match appropriate?

Ordering a standard match to Pantone PMS 1765 C is recommended for marketing, display fabrication, exhibits, and concept prototypes where the Pantone color itself is the required visual reference. It is ideal for brand-facing applications where visual alignment with the Pantone standard is more important than matching an existing coating or material on-site. For projects needing strict brand consistency but without custom approval workflows or multi-material matching, a standard PMS 1765 C paint match is appropriate.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 1765 C?

Can I use the Pantone PMS 1765 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
