PMS 1215 C is part of the Pantone PMS collection, developed for standardized color communication across print, display, fabrication, and industrial design applications. Visually, PMS 1215 C projects an optimistic, light, clean, and welcoming impression. The color presents as a pale yellow with clear chromaticity, often recognized for its gentle, upbeat character and versatility in identity systems requiring a vivid yet unobtrusive yellow.
- PMS 1215 C appears distinctly light in value (LRV 74.16). - The color features a cool yellow tendency relative to mid-range yellows, with a subtle greenish undertone influenced by its hue angle. - Saturation is moderate; it reads as clearly chromatic but not overly intense or neon. - The undertone is delicate and slightly greenish, giving the yellow a crisp, contemporary edge, especially under neutral lighting. - PMS 1215 C can shift noticeably according to surface finish; higher gloss enhances brightness, while matte finishes subdue its vibrancy.
- PMS 1215 C is frequently associated with point-of-sale displays targeting youth or family audiences. - The color is often specified in retail branding literature for spring promotions or limited-time events seeking to communicate freshness and energy.
PMS 1215 C works well as a primary or accent color in environments requiring a sense of lightness and friendly energy. It is generally effective where visual visibility is needed without overwhelming adjacent brand elements. Under most lighting, the color retains a clear, clean character, but in environments with strong green or blue light, its greenish undertone may become more apparent. Careful substrate preparation is important, as lighter and moderately saturated yellows can have limited hide, sometimes requiring additional coats for uniform coverage. Finish selection will influence the apparent brightness; matte finishes reduce perceived intensity while higher gloss makes the color seem more vibrant. When comparing to similar yellows, PMS 1215 C will generally be lighter and subtly cooler, making it suitable for applications where a pale, fresh yellow is desired.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Pantone PMS 1215 C is often specified as a brand standard for fabricating signage, displays, and exhibit elements. Using PMS 1215 C ensures that brand colors remain visually consistent across different fabricated components. For best results, evaluate a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample of PMS 1215 C on your actual substrate. This step is important because surface material, lighting, and finish can all influence how the color appears in your final application.

Standard matches are appropriate for brand experiences, marketing installations, and concept models where consistent appearance is more important than matching a specific existing surface. Pantone PMS 1215 C is intended for brand color reproduction and is not formulated as a touch-up or repair solution. If you require touch-up-grade matching for an existing part or surface described as PMS 1215 C, the best practice is to send a physical sample of your actual item for a custom color match. This approach accounts for substrate and finish variations, providing the highest confidence in a seamless touch-up.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
