Pantone™ PMS 122 C

When using PMS 122 C in pop-up or retail settings, assess the durability needs of your installation and how the color will look under your actual lighting. Lighting can strongly influence the perceived brightness and warmth of this yellow. Sampling PMS 122 C on your actual substrate is recommended before committing to full production, as large, saturated areas may require extra coats for full coverage and appearance. Finish choice will also make a visible difference: gloss can increase perceived vibrancy, while matte will reduce glare. Always confirm the final color and finish in the intended space before large-scale application.

For PMS 122 C, gloss finishes will emphasize the energetic yellow with higher saturation and more brightness 'punch,' especially under strong lighting or at a distance. However, gloss can create glare in direct lighting or window-lit environments, which may distract viewers up close. Matte finishes help avoid glare and provide softer, more even color, but may reduce the perceived brightness of PMS 122 C. Consider your primary viewing distance, lighting angles, and visual impact goals when deciding which finish best supports your brand presence.

Pantone PMS 122 C is a standardized color from the Pantone Matching System, and consistency is critical for brand applications. Using paint from an authorized producer ensures PMS 122 C is reproduced to Pantone's color target, supporting brand accuracy across projects and vendors. Unlicensed or non-standard reproductions may lead to color drift, especially in visually sensitive branding and display applications.

PMS 122 C paint is made to order to ensure color accuracy and freshness. Standard lead times depend on the paint format selected and current production volume. Spray paint and other common application types may ship in a few business days, but larger or custom orders can require additional time. Confirm requirements and timelines early if your project has strict deadlines.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
