Pantone™ PMS 2193 U

Pantone PMS 2193 U is a Pantone Matching System color used as a visual brand standard for signage, displays, and exhibit elements. It serves as the color target that fabricators and paint suppliers aim to match, rather than a fixed paint formula.

For signs and exhibits, PMS 2193 U is commonly specified so multiple vendors can work toward the same brand reference. Because materials, finishes, and lighting can change how the color appears, it is often best to review a painted sample on the actual substrate before full production, especially for high-visibility brand-facing components.

Spray paint and small-format products are often produced faster than larger volume or specialty coatings, but all Pantone matches require custom mixing. If you are working against a fixed installation or event date, it is recommended to order early and allow time for sample review if brand approval is required.

Repeat orders of Pantone PMS 2193 U are matched to the same Pantone reference, but small visual differences can still occur between batches. This is normal for custom-matched paint and can be influenced by product type, sheen, and application method.

To keep results as consistent as possible, reorder the same paint product, sheen, and format, and evaluate color under similar lighting conditions. For ongoing programs or phased installations, approving and retaining a physical sample from the first run can help set expectations for future orders.

Choosing the right paint type for Pantone PMS 2193 U depends on where the finished piece will be used. Interior displays, exhibits, and marketing elements typically prioritize visual accuracy and finish, while exterior applications must also handle exposure to weather and sunlight.

When ordering, select a paint designed for the actual environment of use rather than the color itself. Using an interior-only paint outdoors, or an exterior system indoors without need, can lead to performance or appearance issues. If the project involves both environments, consider sampling each paint type to confirm the visual result meets brand expectations.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
