PMS 719 U is a Pantone Matching System color used as a standardized visual reference across branding, displays, and fabricated elements. It conveys a light, warm, friendly, and accessible vibe with moderate brightness and restrained saturation.

The color reads as light in value, with an LRV of 66.03, and shows a warm yellow-forward tendency. It maintains moderate saturation with a soft yellow undertone that helps reduce glare compared to more intense yellows.

PMS 719 U works well in brand-facing displays and large surfaces where a warm yellow is needed without overwhelming brightness. Consistent priming and multiple thin coats can help achieve uniform coverage, and finish and lighting choices will influence perceived warmth.

Similar colors:

PMS 720 U: slightly darker and more muted, with increased visual weight.
PMS 7401 U: lighter and softer, with reduced yellow clarity.
PMS 7402 U: more saturated and brighter, with stronger yellow intensity.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 719 U

What durability should I expect from PMS 719 U spray paint?

PMS 719 U spray paint is intended for visual brand accuracy rather than a fixed durability rating. Performance depends on surface preparation, the spray paint type selected, and the exposure environment.

For indoor brand displays, signage, and prototypes, standard spray paint options are typically sufficient when applied to a properly prepared surface. For higher handling, longer installations, or exterior exposure, select a paint system designed for those conditions and consider a compatible clear coat if added protection is needed.

Pantone PMS colors define the color target, not the durability. Choosing the correct paint type for how and where PMS 719 U will be used is the key decision.

Can PMS 719 U be used for both interior and exterior applications?

Yes, PMS 719 U can be produced in paint systems suitable for either interior or exterior use. The Pantone code specifies the color appearance, while the paint type determines environmental performance.

For interior applications such as exhibits, retail displays, or prototypes, interior-rated spray paint or coatings are usually appropriate. For exterior signage, pop-ups, or outdoor brand installations, choose an exterior-rated paint system designed to handle UV exposure and weather.

When ordering PMS 719 U, select the paint type based on where the painted item will live, not based on the color code alone.

Is PMS 719 U appropriate for prototypes and concept models?

PMS 719 U is commonly used for prototypes and concept models where visual brand alignment is important. Pantone PMS colors provide a clear color target that helps teams evaluate appearance, contrast, and overall brand presence early in the design process.

For prototyping, spray paint is often chosen for speed and uniform coverage, while other paint formats may be useful for smaller components. Because perception can change with substrate and lighting, it is a good practice to review PMS 719 U on the actual material and under expected lighting before final approval.

Where can I find the SDS for paint made in PMS 719 U?

The Safety Data Sheet is tied to the specific paint product, not to the PMS 719 U color itself. Different paint types that match PMS 719 U will each have their own SDS.

After selecting the paint format and chemistry for PMS 719 U, you can access the corresponding SDS in the SDS library for that product. Always review the SDS for the exact paint type you are ordering to meet safety and compliance requirements.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 719 U?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 719 U depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 719 U for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

See our Primer Selection Table to see what primer you might need and learn more about when you might need a primer. Most people don't use a primer for a touch up paint application, but a primer may improve adhesion and is typically recommended for exterior applications.
How do I convert PMS 719 U to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 719 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
