Pantone™ PMS 695 U

PMS 695 U is a Pantone PMS color standard, not a material-specific paint formula. When it is matched into paint and applied to different substrates, the surface can change how the color appears.

Absorption, surface texture, and reflectivity all affect perceived color. For example, a smooth metal panel may make PMS 695 U appear deeper or darker, while a porous wood or plastic surface may make it look softer or lighter.

For multi-material projects, it is best to evaluate PMS 695 U on each actual substrate used in the final build before full production. This helps confirm that the appearance is acceptable across all materials under the intended lighting.

Sheen has a direct impact on how PMS 695 U is perceived. Higher sheens reflect more light, which can make the color appear richer or darker. Lower sheens scatter light and may soften the appearance.

When choosing a sheen, consider the viewing distance, the substrate, and how controlled the lighting will be. For close-up viewing or uneven surfaces, sheen differences can be more noticeable.

If brand accuracy is critical, ordering a small sample of PMS 695 U in the intended sheen and evaluating it in place is the safest way to confirm the visual result before committing to a larger order.

PMS 695 U paint is custom matched to the Pantone reference each time it is produced. While matches are controlled, small visual differences can occur between batches, especially if product type or sheen changes.

To keep results consistent across reorders, use the same paint product, sheen, and application method each time. Keeping an approved physical sample from a previous order can also help with visual comparison.

For projects with formal brand approval or high visibility, reviewing a fresh sample before each production run helps manage expectations and maintain consistency.

PMS 695 U paint is made to order based on the Pantone reference. Production lead time depends on the selected paint format, current production volume, and order size.

Because the paint is custom mixed, it is not shipped same day. Planning ahead is recommended, especially for time-sensitive marketing or display installations.

If your schedule is tight, placing the order early and confirming the required format and sheen up front can help avoid delays.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 695 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
