PMS 691 U is a Pantone PMS color used as a visual specification target across branding, displays, and fabricated elements. It conveys a light, friendly, and calm vibe with a subtle warmth that reads soft rather than vivid.
The color appears light, with an LRV of 66.03. This color reads warm, leaning toward a pink-red family without strong intensity. The color shows low-to-moderate saturation, giving it a muted and approachable appearance.
This color carries a soft rosy undertone rather than a neutral or beige cast.
PMS 691 U works well on smooth, well-primed surfaces where even film build supports its lightness and subtle undertone. As a light, softly saturated color, it may show underlying contrast or surface variation, so a uniform primer and multiple thin coats can help achieve consistent coverage. Finish choice and lighting can influence how warm or pale the color appears, particularly in large brand-facing installations.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Pantone PMS 691 U includes a suffix that identifies the reference series. That suffix is part of the color target and can affect how the color is expected to appear. Before ordering PMS 691 U, confirm that your brand standards or project documentation specifically call for the U version and not another series. Ordering the wrong suffix can result in a visible mismatch, even though the base number looks the same.
For reliable results with PMS 691 U, start with a clean, dry surface. Remove dust, oils, and residues using an appropriate cleaner, then allow the surface to fully dry. On smooth or glossy substrates, light scuffing can help promote adhesion. Always apply a small test spot first to confirm appearance and adhesion before committing to the full application.
Yes. Surface texture influences how PMS 691 U is perceived. Smooth surfaces tend to reflect light more evenly, while textured surfaces create small shadows that can make the same color appear darker or less saturated. When color accuracy is critical, evaluate PMS 691 U on the actual substrate and texture used in the final application.
Consistency is key when applying PMS 691 U across larger areas. Use the same application method, maintain steady overlap between passes, and plan for even coat coverage. Avoid stopping and starting in visible zones, which can create patchiness. Applying consistent coats and allowing proper flash time between them helps maintain a uniform, brand-consistent appearance.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 691 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
