PMS 5797 U is a Pantone PMS color identified within the Pantone Matching System and used as a standardized visual reference across vendors and materials. It presents as calm, natural, softened, airy, and understated, making it suitable for brand environments that require a gentle green without strong saturation.
The color appears light, with an LRV of 62.18. This color reads as slightly warm due to its yellow-green bias, has low to moderate saturation, and carries a yellow-leaning undertone that gives it a soft, organic feel.
PMS 5797 U works well in branded environments where a light green is needed without high visual intensity, such as displays, panels, or supporting brand elements. Because of its lightness and muted saturation, surface preparation and even application can help prevent patchiness, especially over darker substrates. Finish choice and lighting may influence how yellow or green the color appears, so evaluating a sample in the installed environment can help confirm expectations.
Similar colors:
PMS 5793 U: slightly lighter and more neutral, with less yellow influence.
PMS 5803 U: darker and more saturated, with increased green depth.
PMS 5777 U: more yellow-forward and warmer, with less green clarity.

PMS 5797 U is a Pantone Matching System reference, not a paint brand formula. Most paint manufacturers use their own proprietary color systems, so there is no guaranteed or exact conversion from PMS 5797 U to another brand's color code.
Cross-references, when they exist, are visual approximations only. Differences in pigments, binders, and sheen can result in noticeable variation. If PMS 5797 U is specified in your brand standards, ordering a Pantone-matched paint is the most reliable way to target that color.
Sampling PMS 5797 U is recommended for large or high-visibility projects where color approval is required. This includes retail environments, brand activations, or installations that must be reviewed under installed lighting.
A sample lets you confirm appearance on your actual substrate and finish. This is especially important when multiple materials are involved or when brand stakeholders need to sign off before full production.
PMS 5797 U can be used effectively in pop-ups and retail environments, but appearance should be evaluated under the same lighting conditions where it will be displayed. Retail lighting can significantly affect how color is perceived.
For larger builds or repeated components, sampling first helps confirm coverage, uniformity, and visual consistency. This step reduces risk before committing to full production quantities.
If timing is critical, expedited production is often available as a checkout option for PMS 5797 U. This can shorten processing time compared to standard orders.
For fixed installation or launch dates, it is best to contact MyPerfectColor before ordering to confirm lead time and delivery expectations. This helps ensure the color arrives when your project requires it.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 5797 U. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 5797 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
