Pantone™ PMS 535 U

Pantone PMS 535 U is a visual color target, and the finish you choose can noticeably change how it looks once applied.

Gloss finishes tend to reflect more light, which can make PMS 535 U appear darker and more saturated. Satin or semi-gloss finishes usually balance color depth and light reflection. Matte finishes scatter light, often making the color look lighter or less vivid.

Because finish affects perception, evaluate a physical sample of PMS 535 U in the intended finish under your actual lighting before approving a final order.

Pantone PMS 535 U is available as custom spray paint and other paint formats for branding and display applications.

Common options include spray paint for even coverage on displays and fixtures, paint pens for controlled marking, and brush-in-cap bottles for small components or samples. Some projects may also use epoxy, urethane, or interior or exterior housepaint depending on performance needs.

Choose the format based on your application method, substrate, and required durability rather than the color itself, since the Pantone code defines the color target, not the product type.

When using PMS 535 U in pop-ups or retail spaces, consider durability, lighting, and viewing distance.

Retail lighting can shift how the color is perceived, especially on larger surfaces. Always review a sample of PMS 535 U under the installed lighting before committing to a full run.

For high-contact areas, select a paint type appropriate for handling and wear. For large installations, sampling helps confirm coverage, uniformity, and brand approval before production.

Pantone PMS 535 U can be produced in both interior and exterior paint types, but the color code itself does not determine exposure suitability.

For interior applications, select a paint designed for indoor environments and the required finish level. For exterior use, choose a paint formulated for outdoor exposure, UV resistance, and weather durability.

Because exterior conditions can affect appearance over time, it is recommended to test PMS 535 U on the actual substrate and review performance expectations before ordering larger quantities.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
