Pantone™ PMS 4695 U

Pantone PMS 4695 U is a color target, not a fixed paint formula. When you reorder, the best way to keep results consistent is to stick to the same product type, sheen, and application method each time.

For repeat projects, use the same Pantone reference standard and approval approach you used previously. Changing finish, substrate, or lighting conditions can change how PMS 4695 U appears, even if the color target is the same.

The SDS is tied to the specific paint product, not the Pantone color itself. PMS 4695 U identifies the color target, while the SDS depends on whether you select spray paint, brush-in-cap bottles, paint pens, or another format.

After choosing your product type, you can access the corresponding SDS from the SDS library for that product. The same SDS applies regardless of which Pantone PMS color is mixed into that paint.

You should always order using the full Pantone code, including the suffix. "PMS 4695 U" specifies a different target than other versions of 4695.

Using only a color name or omitting the suffix can result in the wrong reference target being used. For accurate brand matching, always provide the exact Pantone PMS code as published in your brand standards.

Pantone PMS 4695 U is a saturated brand color, and colors like this often have lower hide than neutral tones. Depending on the substrate and product format, additional coats may be needed to achieve uniform coverage.

Using an appropriate undercoat can improve consistency and reduce the total number of finish coats required. Planning for test application and coverage evaluation is recommended, especially for high visibility brand or display work.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
