PMS 443 U is a Pantone PMS color commonly specified for brand and visual communication projects where a controlled, understated color is required. It presents a calm, subdued character with a cool blue-gray presence that supports professional brand palettes.
The color has a mid-range lightness with an LRV of 35.34 and maintains low saturation with restrained chroma. Its subtle blue undertone differentiates it from neutral grays, while still reading as reserved rather than expressive.
PMS 443 U performs well in environments where visual consistency and restraint are important, such as branded displays or supporting surfaces. While coverage is generally manageable due to its low chroma, even surface preparation and priming can help maintain uniform appearance, especially under varied lighting or smoother finishes.
Similar colors: PMS 441 U: slightly darker and more neutral, with reduced blue presence.MyPerfectColor is the official licensee of Pantone and authorized to reproduce the Pantone™ PMS 443 U color in spray paint and other paints.

Pantone PMS 443 U is a visual color standard, not a finish specification. When this color is reproduced in paint, the selected finish will influence how it looks in real use.
Glossier finishes tend to reflect more light, which can make PMS 443 U appear slightly brighter or cleaner. Satin or semi-gloss finishes often balance color strength with controlled reflection. Matte finishes absorb more light and can make the same color look softer or slightly darker.
If brand accuracy is critical, evaluate PMS 443 U in the intended finish under the actual lighting conditions before final production.
When Pantone PMS 443 U is applied across large panels, walls, or display components, uniformity becomes more challenging than on small samples.
Plan for consistent application method, overlap, and coat thickness across the entire surface. Uneven coverage, varying spray distance, or inconsistent drying times can cause visible shifts in appearance.
For large, high-visibility areas, producing a sample panel and confirming appearance before full application helps reduce approval risk.
Pantone PMS 443 U is a licensed color standard used to communicate a specific visual target. Accurate reproduction depends on using authorized Pantone references and controlled matching processes.
MyPerfectColor is authorized to reproduce Pantone PMS colors in paint, which helps ensure PMS 443 U is matched to the correct Pantone standard rather than an estimated or generic version.
This is especially important for brand-facing applications where visual consistency across vendors and materials is expected.
Proper surface preparation helps PMS 443 U appear consistent and adhere correctly. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of dust, oils, or residues that could interfere with coverage.
Depending on the substrate, light scuffing may help promote adhesion, followed by thorough cleaning. Always allow the surface to fully dry before painting.
Applying a small test area first lets you confirm appearance and adhesion before committing to the full application.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 443 U. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.
The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 443 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
