Pantone™ PMS 352 U

Pantone PMS 352 U is a standardized Pantone color reference used to communicate a specific brand color target. When PMS 352 U appears in brand standards, it defines the intended visual color across marketing materials, displays, exhibits, and environments.

Ordering a Pantone PMS 352 U paint match means the Pantone reference is the target for visual alignment. It is designed to support recognizable, repeatable brand color experiences across vendors and applications, rather than to match an existing painted surface.

If you need touch-up-grade or surface-specific matching to an existing item, you should send in a physical part for matching. Pantone PMS 352 U is a brand color reference, not a specification for how an aged or applied surface appears.

A standard PMS 352 U order is appropriate when the Pantone reference itself is the color target, such as for marketing displays or brand environments. When the goal is to visually blend with an existing object, substrate, or coating, a custom match to the actual part provides the correct path.

Pantone books are printed reference standards, while paint is applied to real substrates with a specific sheen. Because of this, a PMS 352 U paint match may look different from the book depending on finish, surface texture, film thickness, and lighting.

The Pantone book should be treated as the color target, not a guarantee of identical appearance in all conditions. For critical brand approvals, applying a sample of PMS 352 U paint to the actual material and viewing it under installed lighting is the recommended approach.

A standard Pantone PMS 352 U match is appropriate when the Pantone reference is the intended color target. Common uses include brand-facing signage, displays, exhibits, prototypes, and marketing installations where visual alignment to brand standards matters most.

This approach works best when you are creating new components rather than trying to blend with an existing surface. Finish selection and substrate choice should be considered, as these factors influence how PMS 352 U is perceived in real-world environments.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
