PMS 310 U is a Pantone PMS color specified as a standardized reference for brand and marketing applications. It reads as light, fresh, cool, clean, and modern, with an open blue tone that avoids heavy visual weight.
The color appears light with an LRV of 53.23 and leans cool toward blue-cyan. It has moderate saturation rather than deep intensity and carries a subtle green-cyan undertone.
PMS 310 U performs well in brand-facing displays, signage, and marketing environments where a bright but approachable blue is needed. Lighter, cooler blues may shift under different lighting, so reviewing samples in the intended lighting is recommended, and careful surface preparation can help achieve an even appearance.
Similar colors: PMS 311 U: slightly lighter and cleaner, with a more open cyan appearance.MyPerfectColor is the official licensee of Pantone and authorized to reproduce the Pantone™ PMS 310 U color in spray paint and other paints.

PMS 310 U is a Pantone reference color, not a paint formula. Pantone books are printed ink standards on specific paper, while paint is applied to real substrates with a chosen sheen. Because of this, PMS 310 U paint can appear lighter, darker, or different in saturation compared to the Pantone book, especially under different lighting.
The "U" suffix indicates an Uncoated Pantone reference. When PMS 310 U is mixed into paint, the substrate, texture, and sheen will influence how closely it visually aligns to the book. For brand-critical work, always evaluate a physical paint sample on the actual material and under the installed lighting before committing to full production.
Coverage for PMS 310 U spray paint is typically about 10 to 12 square feet per can per coat, but this is only a general planning estimate. Actual coverage depends on spray technique, surface texture, absorption, and the number of coats needed.
Because PMS 310 U is a saturated Pantone color, additional coats may be required for uniform hide, especially over dark or uneven surfaces. For larger or brand-visible projects, it is wise to order extra cans to allow for test spraying and full coverage.
The suffix in PMS 310 U is important because Pantone uses different series to represent how colors appear on different reference materials. "U" refers to the Uncoated series, which can look noticeably different from the Coated "C" version of the same number.
When ordering PMS 310 U paint, confirm that your brand guidelines, artwork, or specifications explicitly call for the Uncoated reference. Ordering the wrong suffix can result in a visible mismatch, even though the numeric code appears the same.
A standard PMS 310 U match is appropriate when the Pantone PMS reference is the defined color target, such as for branded displays, signage, exhibits, prototypes, and marketing installations. In these cases, visual alignment to the Pantone standard matters more than matching an existing painted surface.
For large, permanent, or high-visibility installations, it is still recommended to review a physical sample of PMS 310 U paint on the actual substrate. This helps confirm appearance, coverage, and acceptance before full production.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 310 U. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.
The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 310 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
