PMS 2705 U is a Pantone PMS color specified for brand and marketing color alignment. It presents as a pale lavender-blue with a clean, modern character that reads as calm, light, and approachable rather than bold or dramatic.
The color appears light to mid-light, with an LRV of 36.65, and leans cool with a blue-violet tendency. It shows moderate saturation, remaining clearly colored without appearing vivid, and carries a soft lavender undertone that is influenced by lighting conditions.
PMS 2705 U works well for brand-facing surfaces, displays, and environmental elements where a lighter, less dominant color is required. Because it is relatively light and moderately chromatic, it may benefit from a light or neutral primer to maintain evenness, especially over darker substrates, and sampling under installed lighting helps confirm its final appearance.
Similar colors: PMS 2715 U: slightly darker and cooler, with increased blue emphasis.MyPerfectColor is the official licensee of Pantone and authorized to reproduce the Pantone™ PMS 2705 U color in spray paint and other paints.

PMS 2705 U is often specified for brand-facing displays, but its appearance can shift depending on lighting and finish. Before committing to full production, evaluate a sample of PMS 2705 U under the actual installed lighting, including ambient and accent light. For retail or pop-up environments, confirm that the selected paint format and finish can withstand handling and installation without altering the perceived color. This helps reduce approval risk once the space is live.
PMS 2705 U is a saturated Pantone color, which means hide and coverage can be more challenging than with neutral tones. Plan for multiple coats to achieve uniform color, especially on contrasting substrates. Using a suitable undercoat can improve consistency and reduce the number of finish coats required. Coverage should always be confirmed with a sample on the actual material being painted.
No. PMS 2705 U is a Pantone PMS reference, not a paint brand formula. Other paint manufacturers use their own color systems, and cross-references are rarely exact. This is especially true for vivid Pantone hues like PMS 2705 U, where small shifts in formulation or finish can change the visual result. Ordering a Pantone-matched paint is the most reliable way to target this specific color.
Sampling PMS 2705 U is recommended for large or high-visibility brand projects, permanent retail environments, or any application requiring formal brand approval. Sampling is also important when the color will be applied across different substrates or viewed under specific lighting conditions. A sample allows stakeholders to confirm appearance and coverage before full production.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2705 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
