PMS 2655 U is a Pantone PMS color specified within the Pantone Matching System and used in brand-facing visual applications. It presents a light violet character with a contemporary, expressive feel that remains visually clear without appearing heavy.
The color appears mid-light with an LRV of 22.94 and shows a cool violet tendency. It has moderate-to-high saturation and a subtle blue undertone that helps prevent it from reading pink or muted.
PMS 2655 U performs well on displays, graphics, and painted components where a lighter purple needs to remain distinct. Because it combines lightness with noticeable chroma, coverage consistency can be influenced by surface preparation, primer selection, and finish choice, and lighting can noticeably shift perceived vibrancy.

PMS 2655 U is a bright, saturated Pantone color, and colors in this range often have lower hide than neutral tones. That means the underlying surface can influence how uniform the color looks, especially on the first coat.
Plan for additional coats to reach a consistent appearance, and avoid judging coverage until the coating has fully dried. If the substrate varies in color or texture, priming and test-spotting are important steps to confirm how many coats are needed for PMS 2655 U.
Successful results with PMS 2655 U start with clean, well-prepared surfaces. Remove dust, grease, and residues so the coating can adhere evenly. On smooth or glossy substrates, light scuffing may be appropriate to promote adhesion.
Because Pantone matches are visual targets, always apply a small test area on the actual substrate. This helps confirm appearance and coverage before committing to full application of PMS 2655 U.
When approving PMS 2655 U, compare samples under consistent lighting and on the same type of substrate. Lighting changes can significantly affect how saturated Pantone colors appear.
Allow samples to fully dry and cure before making a final judgment. Reviewing PMS 2655 U too early can lead to incorrect approval decisions, especially with vivid colors.
The finish you choose can change how PMS 2655 U is perceived. Glossier finishes tend to increase visual punch and saturation but can introduce glare under strong lighting. Matte finishes reduce glare but may appear slightly softer.
Consider viewing distance, lighting conditions, and brand expectations when deciding. For critical brand applications, testing PMS 2655 U in both finishes on the actual substrate is the most reliable way to choose.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2655 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
