PMS 264 U is a Pantone PMS color identified within the Pantone Matching System as a pale violet-lavender hue. It conveys a calm, airy, and contemporary vibe with qualities that read as light, cool, refined, and gently expressive.
The color appears light to mid-light in value, with an LRV of 43.67. It reads as cool and moderately saturated, carrying a subtle lavender undertone with a clean, slightly powdery cast.
PMS 264 U works well in brand environments where a restrained, approachable color is needed without strong visual dominance. Lighter violet tones like this may show surface variation under directional lighting, so smooth preparation and even application help maintain uniformity. Compared with deeper or more saturated purples, it appears more open and less dense, which can influence perceived coverage and may benefit from a light-colored primer.
Similar colors: PMS 263 U: lighter and more delicate, with reduced chroma and a softer presence.MyPerfectColor is the official licensee of Pantone and authorized to reproduce the Pantone™ PMS 264 U color in spray paint and other paints.

Durability for a Pantone PMS 264 U spray paint match depends on the paint type you select, how the surface is prepared, and the environment where it is used. A standard brand color spray is intended for visual accuracy in displays, signage, and marketing components, not for harsh wear or long term exposure.
For better durability, proper cleaning and light scuffing of the substrate are important, and some projects benefit from a compatible clear coat. If PMS 264 U will be used outdoors or handled frequently, choose a paint type designed for those conditions rather than assuming all sprays perform the same.
Pantone PMS 264 U is a color reference, not an interior or exterior rating. Whether it is suitable for interior or exterior use depends entirely on the paint product you order.
For interior brand displays, exhibits, or prototypes, standard spray or liquid paint formats are usually appropriate. For exterior applications, select a paint type formulated for outdoor exposure and verify performance expectations before ordering. The color target remains PMS 264 U, but the chemistry must match the environment.
VOC levels and safety requirements are determined by the specific paint product, not by the Pantone PMS 264 U color itself. Different formats and paint types have different handling, ventilation, and protective equipment recommendations.
Always review the Safety Data Sheet for the exact product you are ordering and follow all usage instructions. This is especially important for spray applications, where ventilation and proper personal protection are required.
When applying a Pantone PMS 264 U match to metal or existing powder-coated parts, surface preparation is critical. Oils, residues, and gloss levels can affect adhesion and the final appearance of the color.
Light scuffing and thorough cleaning are typically needed, and existing coatings can influence how PMS 264 U is perceived once applied. Because finish and substrate affect visual results, testing a sample on the actual surface is strongly recommended before committing to full production.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 264 U. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.
The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 264 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
