PMS 2607 U is a Pantone PMS color identified within the Pantone Matching System and commonly specified where consistent brand color communication is required. The color presents as deep, intense, bold, dramatic, and visually dense, creating a strong presence in brand-driven applications.
The color appears very dark, with a low Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of 2.99. It reads as cool-leaning with a pronounced purple-magenta tendency and shows high saturation with a rich violet undertone that can shift with lighting.
PMS 2607 U works well in controlled brand environments where deep, saturated color is intentional and lighting can be evaluated in advance. Its low lightness and high saturation may require additional coats for uniform coverage, and sheen choice can significantly influence perceived depth.
Similar colors: PMS 2607 C: slightly cleaner and more vivid, with a brighter coated-surface appearance.MyPerfectColor is the official licensee of Pantone and authorized to reproduce the Pantone™ PMS 2607 U color in spray paint and other paints.

Surface texture changes how light reflects off the coating, which can alter how PMS 2607 U is perceived even when the color target is the same. Smooth substrates tend to reflect light more evenly, making the color appear cleaner and sometimes brighter. Textured or porous surfaces introduce shadowing and diffuse reflection, which can make PMS 2607 U look darker or less saturated.
If PMS 2607 U is being applied across different materials in the same project, evaluate samples on each actual substrate. This helps confirm that the visual result aligns with brand expectations under real viewing conditions.
Sampling is recommended when PMS 2607 U will be used in high-visibility brand applications, large installations, or projects requiring formal brand approval. Lighting, substrate, and finish can all influence how this Pantone color is perceived once applied.
A sample is also advised when PMS 2607 U must appear consistent across multiple materials or when coverage and hide need to be confirmed before full production. Reviewing a sample reduces approval risk and helps prevent rework.
Yes. Changing the finish can noticeably affect how PMS 2607 U appears, even though the Pantone color target does not change. Glossier finishes reflect more light and often make the color appear deeper or more saturated. Matte or flat finishes scatter light, which can make the same color look softer or slightly lighter.
Because finish can influence perceived brightness and saturation, do not compare a matte sample of PMS 2607 U directly to a gloss sample and expect them to look identical. Sampling in the intended finish is the best way to set accurate expectations.
PMS 2607 U is available as custom spray paint and other paint formats for branding and display applications. Common options include spray paint, paint pens, and brush-in-cap bottles, with additional coating types offered depending on the project.
The right format depends on how PMS 2607 U will be applied, the level of control required, and the scale of the work. Choose the format that matches your application method rather than assuming all formats will produce identical visual results.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2607 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
