PMS 2593 U is a Pantone PMS color specified within the Pantone Matching System and commonly referenced for brand-controlled visual applications. It conveys a bold, intense, and expressive violet character with a dark, immersive presence.
The color appears very dark with an LRV of 8.5 and reads as cool in temperature. It is highly saturated and visually dense, with a pronounced violet undertone and minimal neutrality.
PMS 2593 U works well in controlled brand environments where lighting and finish can be evaluated in advance. Due to its depth and saturation, it may require additional coats or a suitable primer to achieve even coverage, especially over lighter or high-contrast substrates.
The following examples reflect commonly cited branding associations and are based on publicly referenced design usage; they are illustrative, not exhaustive or exclusive. The color family is widely cited in branding literature as part of Yahoo’s historic purple brand palette and is commonly referenced in visual systems for Twitch and other digital-first media brands.

Always order by the full Pantone code, PMS 2593 U, not by a shortened name or a similar-looking reference. The code defines the exact Pantone target, while names can be ambiguous or reused across different Pantone systems.
The suffix matters. In this case, the U indicates the uncoated Pantone reference. Ordering PMS 2593 C instead of PMS 2593 U would target a different visual standard. Using the complete code helps avoid receiving a color that does not align with brand specifications.
For a PMS 2593 U match to appear consistent, start with a clean, dry surface. Remove dust, oils, and residues using an appropriate cleaner for the substrate.
Light scuffing can help promote adhesion on smooth surfaces, followed by removing any sanding residue. Because PMS 2593 U is a vivid, saturated color, applying a small test area first is recommended to confirm coverage and appearance before committing to the full application.
Finish selection can significantly change how PMS 2593 U is perceived. Gloss finishes tend to make colors look deeper and more saturated, while matte finishes can soften the appearance and slightly reduce perceived brightness.
Satin or semi-gloss finishes often fall between these extremes. When visual brand accuracy is critical, evaluate the chosen finish under the actual lighting conditions where PMS 2593 U will be viewed.
Shipping transit time for PMS 2593 U depends on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout. Custom-matched Pantone colors require production time before shipment, which should be considered when planning deadlines.
If PMS 2593 U is needed for a scheduled marketing or display installation, it is best to allow extra time for both production and transit to avoid last-minute delays.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2593 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
