Pantone™ PMS 134 U

PMS 134 U is a Pantone brand standard, not a paint formula. For signs, displays, and exhibits, it should be treated as the visual color target that fabricators match as closely as possible.

Because materials and finishes affect appearance, the most reliable approach is to review a sample of PMS 134 U paint on the actual substrate and finish you plan to use. This helps confirm brightness, saturation, and coverage under the lighting where the display will be installed.

Yes. PMS 134 U is commonly used for prototypes and concept models when visual brand alignment is the goal. In these cases, the Pantone reference defines the intended brand color rather than an exact material formula.

For decision-making reviews, it is best to evaluate PMS 134 U on the same material and sheen planned for production. This reduces surprises when moving from a model to a finished display or product.

Paint matched to PMS 134 U is made to order. Production time depends on the paint type selected and current manufacturing volume.

Most Pantone-matched orders require several business days before shipping. If you are working to a fixed marketing or installation date, plan extra time for color review and approval before final production.

If you need the new paint to visually align with an existing finished part, relying only on the PMS 134 U reference may not be sufficient. Pantone codes define brand intent, not aging, finish variation, or material effects.

In these cases, the most accurate path is to provide a physical part so the color can be matched directly. This approach is better suited for small-area corrections or component alignment where the existing appearance is the true reference.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
