PMS 133 U is a Pantone PMS color used as a standardized visual reference for brand and specification work. It conveys a muted, heritage-oriented yellow character that feels warm, dense, and utilitarian rather than light or playful.
The color appears dark for a yellow, with a low light reflectance value of 10.66. It leans warm with an earthy undertone that can read slightly olive or ochre, and it maintains relatively high saturation for its depth.
PMS 133 U works well in controlled lighting environments where its depth and warmth can be clearly perceived. Because it is both dark and saturated, careful surface preparation and even application can help maintain uniform appearance, especially in higher-sheen finishes.
Similar colors:
Pantone 132 U: slightly lighter and more open, with less earthy depth.
Pantone 134 U: warmer and brighter, with reduced visual weight.
Pantone 7406 U: darker and more muted, with a browner, more subdued appearance.

PMS 133 U is a Pantone PMS color standard, not a fixed paint formula. When you reorder, visual consistency depends on keeping key variables the same. Use the same product type, sheen, and application method each time. Changes in finish or substrate can shift how PMS 133 U appears.
For best results, approve a physical sample from your first order and use that same reference for future runs. This is especially important for brand-facing displays or exhibits where small visual differences can be noticeable.
PMS 133 U is a Pantone PMS reference color, not a paint formula. When you reorder, the closest visual match is achieved by keeping the same product type, sheen, and application method each time. Changing formats or finishes can shift how the color appears, even when the Pantone code stays the same.
For repeat projects, use the same approved sample or reference target and evaluate under similar lighting. This approach helps keep visual differences within an acceptable Delta E range for brand-facing work.

PMS 133 U is a licensed Pantone PMS color standard. Authorized reproduction means the color is matched using Pantone reference data and controlled processes designed to achieve accurate visual alignment.
This matters for brand and marketing applications where consistency across vendors and materials is required. Licensed matching reduces the risk of noticeable shifts that can occur with unofficial or generic interpretations of Pantone colors.
No. Pantone PMS colors like PMS 133 U are intended for brand color reproduction, not for touch-up or repair matching. If you need paint to visually disappear on an existing surface, a Pantone code alone is usually not sufficient.
For touch-up-grade accuracy, the correct path is to send in a physical part or sample for custom matching. Pantone matching is best used when PMS 133 U itself is the visual target, such as logos, displays, or branded components.
No. Pantone PMS colors like PMS 133 U are intended for brand color reproduction, not for touch-up or repair matching. Even a correct Pantone match will not account for aging, substrate differences, or existing finish variation.
If you need touch-up-grade accuracy, the correct path is to send a physical part or sample for custom matching. This allows the color to be matched to the actual surface rather than to a Pantone reference.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 133 U. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.
The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 133 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
