Pantone™ PMS 7719 C

Pantone PMS 7719 C is not recommended for touch-up applications on pre-existing finishes. The Pantone system defines only the target color standard and does not specify the original coating type, surface sheen, or substrate conditions. Visual differences in gloss, material, and aging will usually prevent a Pantone reference alone from producing a reliable touch-up match on finished parts or surfaces. If you need visual continuity on existing products, you should evaluate the original finish and consider a custom match service based on a physical sample from the actual product.

For PMS 7719 C, apply several very light coats of spray paint instead of a single heavy coat. Allow time for each coat to begin to set before applying the next. This approach helps prevent runs and promotes a more even, brand-accurate appearance, especially with deep, saturated colors like PMS 7719 C. Building color gradually also improves coverage and reduces the risk of uneven finishes. Always review your progress under the lighting conditions where the final piece will be viewed.

The sheen selected for PMS 7719 C will have a noticeable impact on visual perception. Gloss finishes amplify brightness and saturation, making the blue-green color appear more vivid. Satin or semi-gloss provide a balanced look that can work for most brand-facing projects. Matte or flat finishes will mute vibrancy and make the teal appear deeper or less intense. Always confirm color and finish compatibility with your brand guidelines and review a sample in application lighting.

Proper preparation is key to consistent results with PMS 7719 C. Begin by cleaning the surface to remove dust, grease, and any contaminants. Lightly scuff glossy or slick surfaces to promote paint adhesion, if compatible with your substrate. Ensure the surface is fully dry. Before painting a full area, apply a test spot in an inconspicuous area to check for adhesion and appearance. Careful prep helps saturated colors like PMS 7719 C look uniform and adhere reliably.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
