PMS 7692 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection, a reference standard widely used in brand, marketing, and industrial design contexts. This color reads as distinctly bold, technical, stable, and authoritative, with a cool undertone and impactful presence. It is specified where dependable blue tones are important for identity, signage, or branded installations.

- PMS 7692 C presents as a dark blue, with an LRV of 8.25, placing it in the lower light reflectance range. - The color displays a cool tendency, leaning towards a blue-violet hue. - PMS 7692 C has high chroma, which produces notable saturation and vividness. - The undertone of PMS 7692 C is cool, with subtle muted violet influences. - This color’s appearance is sensitive to finish and lighting; gloss finishes may amplify its depth and saturation, while matte finishes can create a more subdued impression.

PMS 7692 C is specified when a saturated, impactful dark blue is required for branded displays, signage, or environments. Evaluate the color in the intended finish and lighting, as appearance can shift between cooler and more neutral depending on context. Rich blue tones like PMS 7692 C may require additional coats for consistent coverage and should be tested on the target substrate before rollout. When using next to lighter or warmer elements, expect strong contrast and pronounced coolness, especially in spaces with daylight or neutral lighting.

PMS 295 C: Deeper and more neutral, with less violet influence.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7692 C

Will PMS 7692 C paint matched by MyPerfectColor look exactly like the Pantone book swatch?

PMS 7692 C in the Pantone book is a reference standard printed on coated paper under specific lighting. When you order PMS 7692 C paint, expect some variation based on the selected finish, substrate, and lighting. Gloss or satin painted surfaces may appear deeper or more saturated than the book, while matte finishes can look more subdued. For brand-critical applications, always test PMS 7692 C paint on the actual material with your intended finish and view it in final lighting before full production. This helps ensure alignment with your brand expectations and identifies any adjustments needed for visual consistency.

How do I order PMS 7692 C paint on MyPerfectColor to match my brand project requirements?

To order PMS 7692 C paint, start by selecting the desired product format such as spray paint, paint pens, or other available types. Choose the sheen or finish that best fits your project, as finish affects how the color will appear. Enter the quantity you need and select any options required for your application. Before finalizing your order, double-check that PMS 7692 C is the correct color specified by your brand standard. For best results, sample the paint in your chosen finish and on your actual material before proceeding with the full project, especially for brand displays or signage.

How much area will one spray can of PMS 7692 C typically cover, and how should I estimate the right quantity?

One spray can of PMS 7692 C generally covers about 20 to 25 square feet with a single coat on a smooth surface. However, strong blue colors like PMS 7692 C often require multiple coats for full coverage, especially over lighter or contrasting backgrounds. To estimate how many cans you need, calculate the total area of your project, consider the material's texture and color, and plan for at least two coats. Testing on your actual surface can help confirm coverage and help avoid under-ordering for brand displays or fabrication projects.

Are there specific VOC or safety concerns I should know about when using PMS 7692 C paint products?

The VOC content and safety considerations for PMS 7692 C depend on the specific paint product and type you select. Always review the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for the chosen product before use. Follow all safe handling, ventilation, and personal protective equipment recommendations from the manufacturer. If your project has strict environmental or indoor air quality requirements, select low VOC or water-based paint options where available. Properly test the selected paint on your intended substrate and ensure compliance with all applicable site rules for brand and display applications.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 7692 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
