PMS 7618 C from the Pantone PMS System is a mid-value, chromatically saturated orange-red. This color projects a vibe that is bold, active, assertive, and visually engaging, with a leaning toward warmth and vibrancy. It is structured and attention-getting without being overly bright. As a Pantone standard, it is targeted at applications requiring precise color fidelity across materials and production processes.

PMS 7618 C appears moderately dark with a light reflectance value (LRV) of 23.71. The color has a distinct warm tendency, skewing toward orange in the red family. Saturation is high, contributing to a vivid, pronounced appearance. It displays an orange-red undertone, producing a feeling of vibrancy and dynamism. This color’s visual impact is sensitive to both finish and lighting; glossier finishes and direct light may enhance perceived brightness and saturation.

PMS 7618 C works well where energetic warm tones are desired to demand attention in brand and display environments. Accurate color communication and consistency across substrates are critical in these scenarios. Expect bold visual impact but be attentive to potential shifts in perceived hue under varying lighting conditions. As with other highly saturated reds and oranges, this color may require additional coats to ensure full coverage, and finish selection should be matched to application intent for best consistency.

Similar colors:
PMS 7621 C: Slightly deeper and more red; appears darker and cooler.

PMS 7625 C: Brighter and more chromatic, presenting as a more luminous orange-red.

PMS 7626 C: Noticeably darker and more muted, resulting in a less saturated look.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 7618 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
