Pantone™ PMS 7598 C

To keep results visually consistent for Pantone PMS 7598 C across repeat orders, always use the same product type, sheen, and application process for every run. Stick to the same approval method, such as comparing samples to the same Pantone reference under consistent lighting. Variations in material, gloss, or paint technology can cause visible shifts, especially with a deep, earthy color like PMS 7598 C. If color consistency is critical for your brand environment, avoid changing formats or finishes mid-project.

Before painting metal or powder-coated items with PMS 7598 C, ensure all surfaces are clean and properly scuffed for adhesion. Existing coatings and gloss can strongly influence the final appearance, especially for colors with pronounced undertones like this earthy orange-brown. Always test on a sample part to check for unexpected color shifts or sheen differences. Matte or satin finishes are generally preferred to reduce visible variation and offer a more stable result.

When evaluating Pantone PMS 7598 C samples, compare them under consistent lighting and on the same substrate you will use for final production. Always allow paint to dry and fully cure, as this color's muted orange-brown tone can appear different when wet or semi-dry. If possible, use multiple lighting types to confirm acceptance, since this shade can shift from more orange in daylight to browner in artificial light. Agree on an approval viewing method in advance to reduce risk of disputes.

For best results with PMS 7598 C spray paint, apply several thin coats rather than one heavy coat. Allow proper drying or flash time between coats, as multiple light layers provide more even color and coverage, especially for colors with strong undertones and low LRV like PMS 7598 C. Rushing the application or using heavy coats can cause streaking, uneven sheen, or visible defects. Follow product instructions and sample on a small area first.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
