Pantone™ PMS 7587 C

PMS 7587 C is a dark, earthy orange with moderate saturation and a low light reflectance value (LRV 11.48). Because of its richness and depth, achieving full, uniform coverage may require more coats than lighter or less saturated colors, especially over high-contrast surfaces. Plan surface preparation and application steps accordingly. Proper priming and multiple coats help achieve consistent brand appearance for marketing and display uses.

For PMS 7587 C, it is best practice to order a small paint sample and evaluate it on your actual substrate and under the intended lighting conditions. This step is important for confirming brand color appearance before committing to a full production run or installation. Brand approval workflows usually require stakeholders to review the sample as applied so that adjustments can be made if needed, reducing the risk of costly rework on branded projects.

PMS 7587 C, like many Pantone colors, can look different depending on the surface, paint formulation, and finish. Matching this color well requires specialized expertise since small shifts in finish or texture may influence the perceived result. PMS 7587 C paint is formulated for brand consistency in new applications, displays, and prototypes. If you require touch-up-grade color match for an existing part, sending a physical sample is recommended instead of selecting by Pantone code. This approach ensures the highest possible alignment with the original part and avoids risks related to batch or finish differences when only the code is used.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
