PMS 7559 C from the Pantone PMS collection is a robust, earthy yellow-brown with a muted yet visually substantive character. It conveys a grounded, technical, and approachable effect suitable for brand-driven displays. The color vibe is warm, muted, utilitarian, and reliably distinctive under varied lighting. The Pantone PMS standard ensures consistent application across print, fabrication, and paint environments.

PMS 7559 C reads as a distinctly warm-toned color with a substantial muted yellow base and a brown undertone. The color demonstrates moderate darkness, with an LRV of 16.32, making it notably less reflective and visibly deeper than lighter yellows or tans. Chromatically, the saturation is moderate, contributing to a muted yet rich appearance without appearing overly vivid. The undertone presents as slightly ochre, delivering visual warmth and natural, earthy resonance. PMS 7559 C can be sensitive to finish; gloss may amplify warmth and depth, while matte finishes will further suppress reflectance and emphasize muted character.

PMS 7559 C performs best as a specialty color for branded objects, displays, and environments where a warm, earthy tone is specified. It should be evaluated in the intended lighting, as color warmth and depth will fluctuate under various conditions and sheens. As with similarly muted yellow-browns, uniformity of appearance may depend on surface type and the number of coats, particularly for highly saturated applications. PMS 7559 C is often chosen for its ability to evoke substance, distinctiveness, and approachability without overt brightness.

Similar colors:

  • PMS 7558 C — Lighter and less saturated, resulting in a softer, paler effect.
  • PMS 7560 C — Darker and more brown, increasing visual weight and reducing yellow influence.
  • PMS 1245 C — Warmer and more chromatic, with greater yellow-orange presence and higher visual impact.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7559 C

Why is PMS 7559 C not directly cross-referenced to other paint brands or color systems?

PMS 7559 C is uniquely defined within the Pantone PMS system and was created to meet standardized brand color requirements. Most paint brands maintain their own color palettes, developed independently from Pantone codes. Direct cross-references are rarely exact, especially for colors like PMS 7559 C with specific muted yellow-brown properties. Ordering this color as a Pantone match is the best way to target your intended shade for branding consistency. Always confirm with samples rather than relying on color names or visual equivalents from other brands.

How should I use samples of PMS 7559 C in brand approval workflows?

When PMS 7559 C is specified for brand or display environments, order a sample in your intended paint format and sheen before committing to a larger order. Evaluate the sample under the actual lighting and on the real substrate where it will be used. This helps ensure that PMS 7559 C meets your approval requirements for color and appearance, especially as both lighting and surface type can alter the final look. Having an approved sample reduces the risk of misalignment during production builds.

What should I expect when comparing PMS 7559 C paint to a Pantone book?

If you compare PMS 7559 C paint to a Pantone book standard, remember that the book is a reference for color targeting, not an indication of final finish. Paint can appear different based on sheen (gloss vs. matte), substrate, and application method. Slight visual differences may occur due to these operational factors. For brand-critical projects, create and review a physical sample on your real material, comparing it to the Pantone book under matching lighting to make your acceptance decision.

How many coats or what undercoat should I plan for with PMS 7559 C?

PMS 7559 C has a moderate level of saturation and a relatively low LRV, which means it can cover less efficiently than lighter or less saturated colors. To achieve uniform and accurate color, plan for at least two coats, and consider using a neutral or lightly tinted undercoat to promote better coverage. This approach is especially important for saturated or specialty brand colors, and it helps achieve the desired PMS 7559 C result with less risk of unevenness or color shift.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 7559 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 7559 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 7559 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 7559 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
