PMS 7555 C is part of the Pantone PMS collection, a system designed for brand and identity specification in marketing, industrial design, and display fabrication. The color has a moderately low light reflectance (LRV 38.55), showing as a soft, earthy yellow-brown. Its character is understated, stable, grounded, and somewhat industrial, making it appropriate for settings requiring a restrained but distinctive visual statement.

PMS 7555 C appears as a medium-dark tone with moderate lightness (LRV 38.55). The color presents a warm appearance, leaning toward the yellow-brown segment of the spectrum. Saturation is moderate, giving the color an earthy, muted quality rather than vibrancy. An underlying olive or ochre undertone is noticeable in direct comparison with similar browns. PMS 7555 C is generally not prone to significant finish sensitivity; appearance will be consistent across most standard gloss levels.

PMS 7555 C performs well in applications requiring a neutral yet grounded yellow-brown. It is effective for branding elements where a sense of reliability and a natural or earthy context are desired. Users should evaluate how lighting affects the perception, as warm artificial lighting can emphasize its yellow undertone. This color maintains visual distinction in mixed-material environments and tends to hide surface irregularities better than lighter, cleaner yellows of the PMS system.

Similar colors:
PMS 7550 C: A lighter, less muted version, appearing slightly warmer and brighter.

PMS 7556 C: A darker and more neutral brown, lacking the yellow undertone of PMS 7555 C.

PMS 1245 C: A related yellow-brown, but with increased chroma and a more pronounced yellow cast.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7555 C

How can lighting and viewing conditions affect the appearance of Pantone PMS 7555 C?

The appearance of Pantone PMS 7555 C can shift depending on lighting type and intensity. This yellow-brown may show a warmer or cooler undertone in different environments. For brand or display projects, always review PMS 7555 C under the actual lighting where it will be installed, since artificial lights or daylight can each influence how the color reads. Evaluating the color on the final substrate and under final lighting is important for accurate approval.

What are the production timing options for PMS 7555 C if I have a short deadline?

If you need Pantone PMS 7555 C quickly, expedited production is available as an option during checkout. For projects with strict deadlines, it is recommended to select expedited processing and also contact MyPerfectColor to confirm that your timeline can be met for PMS 7555 C. This ensures you can plan for delivery and install branding elements on schedule.

Will PMS 7555 C paint look exactly the same as the color in my Pantone book?

Pantone books are the reference standard for PMS 7555 C, but actual painted samples can appear different due to sheen and substrate. For example, the gloss of the paint and the type of material painted will influence perceived color and brightness. To align brand expectations, sample PMS 7555 C on your actual material under normal lighting before approving large projects.

How should I use sampling of PMS 7555 C for brand approval workflows?

For brand-centric projects using PMS 7555 C, order a small sample in your chosen format and test it on your actual substrate. Review the painted sample in its intended setting and lighting. This helps confirm color accuracy before you proceed with full production, reducing the risk of mismatch in critical branding or display applications.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 7555 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
