PMS 7548 C from the Pantone PMS system is a saturated, vibrant yellow with a strong presence. This color is often described as energetic, assertive, vivid, and bold, making it operationally relevant where attention or brand recognition is a key goal. It sits in the yellow segment of the spectrum and is specified for environments requiring consistency in large-scale visual identity systems.

- PMS 7548 C appears as a light shade with a measured LRV of 61.65, which indicates significant brightness. - The color demonstrates a distinctly warm tendency due to its position in the high-yellow hue angle range. - This color exhibits high saturation and intensity, resulting in pronounced visual impact. - The undertone is clean, with a pronounced pure yellow character and minimal orange or green influence. - PMS 7548 C is highly sensitive to finish; glossier finishes will accentuate its vibrancy, while matte finishes may slightly mute its impact.

- PMS 7548 C is frequently specified for signage, wayfinding, and safety markers, where conspicuity and color recognition are critical. - This color is widely referenced in branding literature for applications where a bold yellow is used as a key element in logos, displays, and branded environments.

PMS 7548 C works best in applications where bold, visible color is needed for branding or communication. Its high brightness and strong chroma can make it susceptible to coverage challenges, especially over dark substrates; use appropriate undercoats to achieve uniform finish. The color can appear different under various lighting conditions and may shift in perceived saturation depending on surface finish. In environments where nearby colors are also saturated yellows or oranges, PMS 7548 C will read as a pure, direct yellow—other options may introduce orange or green influences.

This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7548 C

What matching challenges should I be aware of when ordering Pantone PMS 7548 C paint?

Pantone PMS 7548 C is a vivid, highly saturated yellow, which makes it both visually impactful and especially challenging to match across different substrates and coatings. Factors like paint finish, application method, and lighting can noticeably affect how the color appears. MyPerfectColor uses precise color measurement and custom formulation to match the Pantone standard, but small differences in material or conditions may cause slight variations. For critical brand applications, always review a physical sample in the intended finish and lighting before full rollout.

Do I need a primer when using Pantone PMS 7548 C paint on my project?

PMS 7548 C is a bright, high-chroma yellow that can be susceptible to coverage issues, especially over dark or uneven surfaces. Using an appropriate primer is typically recommended to ensure proper adhesion and to achieve true color intensity and uniform coverage. Primer selection depends on your substrate and exposure conditions, so review the product guidance for the best results with PMS 7548 C.

How is Pantone PMS 7548 C used in sign, display, or exhibit fabrication?

Pantone PMS 7548 C is frequently specified for signs, displays, and exhibit elements where high visibility and brand consistency are critical. Because precise color representation matters for brand standards, samples of PMS 7548 C should always be evaluated on the same substrate, finish, and lighting as the final installation to ensure you achieve the intended result.

How can I use Pantone PMS 7548 C samples for brand approval workflows?

For projects where color accuracy and brand approval are essential, it is recommended to order a sample of PMS 7548 C in the target finish and apply it to the actual project substrate. Evaluate the sample under the installed lighting conditions. This approach helps confirm that the paint meets brand standards and avoids issues during large-scale production.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 7548 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 7548 C depends on the type of paint needed. Can I use the Pantone PMS 7548 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
