When ordering Pantone PMS 2423 C in spray paint or other paint formats, safety and handling requirements depend on the specific product type and formulation you select. Pantone PMS 2423 C specifies only a target color and does not define sheen, application method, or substrate conditions. This means it cannot reliably account for differences in existing finishes. For touch-up or repair of previously coated surfaces, matching the original coating and conditions is critical. Using PMS 2423 C as a reference may lead to noticeable color or sheen differences, so it is not recommended for this purpose.

Pantone PMS 2423 C is the correct choice when your goal is to achieve brand consistency for displays, signage, prototypes, or marketing installations where the Pantone reference is your official color target. Ordering a standard PMS 2423 C match is best for projects where visual alignment with brand guidance matters more than replicating a specific existing finish or substrate. This approach supports uniform brand impact in both temporary and permanent applications.

Pantone PMS 2423 C is a saturated green that may show lower hide than less chromatic colors. For best results, plan on using a suitable white or neutral primer to promote even coverage, especially when painting over dark or contrasting surfaces. Applying multiple coats is often needed to achieve full color uniformity and vibrancy. Factoring in these steps helps to maintain the intended appearance of PMS 2423 C in marketing or architectural projects.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
