PMS 2370 C, from the Pantone PMS collection, is a deep, saturated magenta-purple with a pronounced visual presence. The color is dark (low LRV of 4.43) and exhibits a cool temperature with a high chromatic intensity. Its vibe is assertive, dynamic, technical, and bold, supporting applications where strong visual differentiation and brand recognition are a priority.
PMS 2370 C appears very dark, reflecting low lightness (LRV 4.43). The color has a cool undertone with pronounced magenta-purple character. PMS 2370 C is highly saturated and vividly chromatic. The undertone is distinctly purple, with a magenta influence. The appearance of PMS 2370 C is sensitive to finish; high-gloss finishes may exaggerate saturation and depth, while matte or satin finishes can subdue intensity.
PMS 2370 C performs well in environments where bold, saturated color is needed for brand visibility or visual impact. Due to its low light reflectance, it may appear almost black in dim conditions; adequate, consistent lighting enhances its vibrancy. Surface preparation and priming are important to maximize even coverage, as highly saturated colors with low LRV may require multiple coats for uniform appearance. The color’s strong magenta-purple base can shift in appearance under different lighting types, so evaluation in situ is recommended prior to specification.

The finish you choose for Pantone PMS 2370 C can noticeably change how the color appears. A high-gloss finish will make PMS 2370 C seem more saturated and can increase its depth and vibrancy, while matte or satin finishes will reduce its intensity and make the color look more subdued. Even if the color target is identical, a matte version and a gloss version can look like different colors due to the way light interacts with each sheen. Always compare samples with matching finishes to ensure a correct visual match for brand-critical applications.
Sampling Pantone PMS 2370 C is strongly recommended when color is critical for brand visibility, high-profile installations, or environments with challenging lighting conditions. Because PMS 2370 C is dark with high chroma, its appearance can shift under different lighting or on various materials. Sampling allows you to test the color on your actual substrate and see it in the intended lighting conditions, helping to avoid costly surprises and ensuring brand standards are met before major production or installation.
Pantone PMS 2370 C paint is designed for brand color reproduction, not for touch-up or repair of existing coatings. If you require a touch-up-grade match for a specific component, the best approach is to send a physical sample of the part for custom matching. Relying solely on the Pantone PMS code will not ensure an exact match due to potential differences in substrate, original finish, and aging. Use PMS 2370 C when the priority is visual consistency with the Pantone color standard across new brand or display applications.
No specific brand, team, or institutional association for Pantone PMS 2370 C is provided here. If a notable usage exists and is relevant to your project, confirm through official brand guidelines or direct reference in your brief. PMS 2370 C is typically selected for its impact and saturation in custom branding and display environments.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
