PMS 2299 C is part of the Pantone Matching System (PMS) collection, used for standardized color communication in branding, signage, and industrial design. This color reads as a vivid, medium-bright green with a clean, energetic, and technical character. It is practical for environments demanding strong visibility and brand consistency while remaining adaptable across a range of display and prototype applications.

PMS 2299 C presents as a mid-light green, with moderate reflectance (LRV 54.22).

The color exhibits a distinctly cool undertone, emphasizing its green intensity.

PMS 2299 C is highly saturated, giving it strong chromatic presence without ambiguity.

The undertone leans slightly toward a fresh, clear green rather than muted or yellowed variants.

Saturation and visual impact may shift somewhat under different lighting or finishes, but the color generally maintains its high visibility.

PMS 2299 C works effectively where a vivid green is required to align with brand standards or design intent. For accurate results, confirm color appearance with a physical Pantone guide and a paint sample under the expected lighting and finish conditions. As with all saturated greens, expect some sensitivity to lighting and finish; gloss finishes can increase perceived intensity, while matte finishes may subdue vibrancy. Surface preparation should ensure uniformity, as surface variation may alter perceived color.

Similar colors:

  • PMS 2289 C offers a lighter, slightly warmer green with more yellow apparent in the hue.
  • PMS 2276 C provides a darker, cooler green with a more subdued, forest-like appearance.
  • PMS 354 C is a more chromatic, vivid green, perceived as higher in brightness and intensity.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2299 C

Can PMS 2299 C be matched exactly using another paint company or home improvement store color?

PMS 2299 C is a Pantone color developed for standardized color communication and does not have an exact equivalent in other paint company collections. Each brand creates its own palette, and highly saturated or vivid colors like PMS 2299 C are especially hard to match across different paint lines. For brand consistency and visual accuracy, it is best to specify and source PMS 2299 C directly, rather than cross-referencing with a non-Pantone collection.

What should I know about ordering PMS 2299 C paint if my project requires an exact match?

PMS 2299 C paint is custom made to order based on the Pantone standard. Because each order is made according to your chosen product type and sheen, returns and exchanges are generally not possible. It is important to review your requirements for finish and application, and if you are unsure of the appearance under your conditions, order a sample first. Careful selection helps avoid disappointment and supports the accurate delivery of brand-consistent results.

Why is it important to specify PMS 2299 C instead of a similar Pantone code when ordering paint?

Pantone codes, such as PMS 2299 C, may include suffixes or series details that define the exact color reference needed. Color differences can occur even between closely related codes, or between coated (C), uncoated (U), or matte (M) suffixes. To avoid ordering errors and achieve the intended result, confirm the precise code and suffix required from your brand standards or project documentation before placing your order.

Are there special considerations for using PMS 2299 C paint on plastic or low-energy surfaces?

When using PMS 2299 C on plastic or other low-surface-energy materials, adhesion can be challenging. Not all plastics accept paint easily, and certain types may require a specialty primer or surface preparation to achieve proper bonding. Testing on the actual plastic material before full production is strongly recommended to confirm adhesion and color appearance.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 2299 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 2299 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 2299 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

See our Primer Selection Table to see what primer you might need and learn more about when you might need a primer. Most people don't use a primer for a touch up paint application, but a primer may improve adhesion and is typically recommended for exterior applications.
How do I convert PMS 2299 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2299 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
