PMS 2287 C is part of the Pantone PMS system, a widely used color communication standard in branding and production. The color exhibits a clean, striking, and contemporary vibe, with a direct and energetic appearance. It is recognized for its high chroma and noticeable clarity, used in situations where accurate color verification and consistency are operational requirements.
PMS 2287 C presents a moderate lightness, with a published LRV of 42.16. The color reads as distinctly cool, with a pronounced green hue. PMS 2287 C is strongly saturated, producing high visual intensity. The undertone is vibrant and leans towards a clear, cool green, avoiding the warmth found in olive or yellow-biased greens. This color tends to appear bolder in higher-gloss finishes, and may shift slightly in perceived saturation depending on the lighting conditions.
PMS 2287 C is frequently specified for displays, fixtures, and branded activations where a distinct green is required for immediate recognition. The color is often selected for prototypes or mock-ups in marketing contexts to evaluate branded green before full production rollout.
PMS 2287 C works effectively for projects needing a bold, memorable green that remains unmistakable under varied lighting in display and branding settings. It is best used where high visibility is a priority and visual match to Pantone references is operationally important. When applied, confirm substrate preparation for even coverage, especially given this color’s strong chroma, which may show substrate variation or uneven priming. Testing under actual lighting and finish conditions is strongly advised, as both gloss and ambient light can significantly influence its perceived intensity and clarity compared to similar greens.

PMS 2271 C – A cooler, more blue-shifted green, resulting in a more technical and less energetic feel.

Pantone PMS 2287 C is a highly saturated green, which can be difficult to match consistently across different substrates and finishes. The vividness that gives PMS 2287 C its visual impact also makes it sensitive to gloss, lighting, and surface prep. MyPerfectColor specializes in matching Pantone colors like PMS 2287 C for display and marketing applications, but it is important to understand that slight differences in material or lighting may affect the perceived result. Reviewing a physical sample on the actual substrate and under installation lighting is strongly advised for critical projects.
Thorough surface preparation is essential for achieving an even, brand-true color with Pantone PMS 2287 C. Clean the substrate to remove dust, oil, and residue. Degrease if necessary, especially for metal, plastic, or high-touch surfaces. Lightly scuff glossy or slick areas to improve adhesion without damaging the substrate. Always test a small area first to confirm coverage and compatibility. Since PMS 2287 C is highly chromatic, uneven priming or surface flaws may show through, so use a high-quality primer when needed for uniform color.
PMS 2287 C is specified for high-visibility branding in pop-up and retail settings, where durability and visual consistency matter. Test samples of PMS 2287 C on your selected substrates and evaluate them under the same lighting as your installation will use. The color can appear bolder or shift in tone depending on gloss level and ambient light. For large or high-profile displays, sampling and stakeholder sign-off on final appearance are recommended before full application to ensure client expectations are met.

Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
