Pantone® PMS 2268 C is a vivid green from the Pantone PMS System / collection, exhibiting a balanced, contemporary character suited for specification-driven identity and display work. The color delivers a precise, controlled presence with attributes such as lively, clean, modern, and visually assertive, while also remaining approachable due to its moderate light reflectance.

PMS 2268 C appears mid-light, offering moderate brightness with an LRV of 55.14. The color has a cool, fresh tendency, based on its position in the green spectrum. Saturation is high, presenting vibrant chroma without neon qualities. Undertone appears balanced to slightly cool, minimizing yellow warmth typical of some greens. PMS 2268 C may show slight sensitivity to finish, with gloss sheens intensifying vibrancy and matte finishes muting the hue.

PMS 2268 C works well for environments and components where a consistent, recognizable green is essential to support visual identity and brand presence. Use this color for specified marketing displays, signage, and fixtures that benefit from a lifted yet controlled green. Evaluate the final appearance under intended lighting and finish, as finish changes can noticeably impact perceived vividness. In coverage, expect similar behavior to other high-saturation greens—multiple coats may be necessary for full uniformity, especially over contrasting substrates or in lower-hide finishes.

Similar colors:
PMS 2270 C: Slightly lighter and more yellow-leaning, resulting in a warmer, brighter effect.

PMS 2267 C: Deeper and cooler, providing a more subdued, blue-influenced green.

PMS 2256 C: More muted and less saturated, yielding a softer, less chromatic green outcome.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2268 C

How do I ensure I am ordering the correct version of Pantone PMS 2268 C paint?

To order the correct paint for Pantone PMS 2268 C, always reference the exact Pantone code including any suffix like the 'C' for coated. Color names can sometimes be ambiguous, but the Pantone code PMS 2268 C is a unique identifier used for precise color matching across vendors and formats. Always double check the code in your brand standards and include it in your order to avoid color mismatch.

What should I know before ordering Pantone PMS 2268 C paint since it is custom made?

Pantone PMS 2268 C paint is custom made to order with each purchase. This means you should verify your product type, sheen, and quantity carefully before placing your order, as changes may not be possible once production begins. If you are unsure about coverage, finish, or approval, consider ordering a sample first. Custom color paint is not easily adjusted or returned, so selecting correctly the first time helps ensure your project stays on track.

Why might Pantone PMS 2268 C look different across materials?

The appearance of Pantone PMS 2268 C can vary depending on the substrate. Factors like absorption, surface texture, and reflectivity influence how the color is perceived. For example, the same paint may look slightly different on metal, plastic, or wood. To achieve brand-consistent results, always evaluate a sample on the specific material and surface finish used in your final build before full production or installation.

What is the best way to apply Pantone PMS 2268 C spray paint for an even, vivid result?

Pantone PMS 2268 C is a high-saturation green that may require several light coats for full uniformity, especially over contrasting surfaces or in lower-hide finishes. For best results, apply multiple thin coats rather than one heavy coat, allowing each coat to dry before recoating. This approach helps minimize runs and promotes smooth, even color with maximum brand impact.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 2268 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 2268 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 2268 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
