PMS 2112 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection, which serves as an industry standard for color specification in branding, marketing, and display fabrication. This color presents a deep, assertive violet character, combining technical, vivid, contemporary, and brand-focused qualities with a notably saturated, cool undertone.
PMS 2112 C appears very dark, with a low light reflectance value (LRV 2.68), resulting in minimal light return from painted surfaces. The color is cool-toned, exhibiting violet and purple influences. It shows high saturation, yielding a bold, strong visual presence. This color carries a notable blue-violet undertone, especially visible in proper lighting. PMS 2112 C may be sensitive to finish, as glossier sheens can intensify perceived vibrancy, while matte finishes can slightly mute color expression.
PMS 2112 C works well for brand or display contexts where a deep, distinctive violet is specified and can serve as a visual anchor in environments seeking a strong, cool color. Given its darkness and high saturation, coverage must be managed carefully, particularly over contrasting substrates—multiple coats may be necessary for uniform appearance. The final look can shift depending on gloss level and lighting: higher-gloss finishes and direct lighting may increase vibrancy, while matte finishes and low illumination can deepen the subdued effect. It is important to test the color on the intended material and under actual viewing conditions before full deployment, particularly when matching existing branded elements.

Pantone codes such as PMS 2112 C include suffixes or series like the letter C, which can indicate differences in the intended reference (for example, coated, uncoated, or other variations). Before ordering PMS 2112 C paint, always confirm that the code and suffix match exactly with your brand standards or the documentation provided by your brand manager or designer. Ordering based on an incomplete or incorrect Pantone code can result in a color that does not align with your intended target for branding or display projects.
When selecting a sheen for Pantone PMS 2112 C, be aware that the level of gloss can affect how this deep, saturated violet is perceived. Glossier finishes may make the color look brighter and more intense, while matte finishes can mute the vibrancy. Consider the viewing distance, lighting, and material being painted. For branding or display applications, test the chosen sheen on your substrate under actual lighting conditions to ensure it meets visual expectations and aligns with your brand requirements. This helps achieve consistent results and prevents surprises when installing painted components.
Ordering Pantone PMS 2112 C as paint means you are requesting a color match to a Pantone standard, which serves as a visual target for brand consistency. The Pantone PMS code specifies the color reference, not a particular paint formula, process, or finish type. The paint you receive is matched to the appearance of PMS 2112 C as defined by Pantone, but actual results can be influenced by the material, sheen, and lighting. Confirm that your project requirements are based on visual alignment with the Pantone standard, rather than an exact reproduction of a specific manufacturer''s original finish.
One standard spray can of PMS 2112 C generally covers about 20 to 25 square feet per coat, but coverage depends on application technique, surface texture, and color change. Because PMS 2112 C is a very dark and saturated violet, you may need multiple coats for full coverage, especially over light or contrasting substrates. When estimating quantity, consider the number of coats required for uniform appearance and test on your material whenever possible for best results on brand and display projects.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2112 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
