PMS 7454 C is a Pantone Matching System color from the Pantone PMS collection. It presents a balanced, subdued blue character with modern, understated, and professional qualities. The color suggests a calm, technical, and businesslike vibe. With a moderately low light reflectance value (LRV 25.96), PMS 7454 C appears noticeably darker than many corporate blues, and its controlled chroma and cool hue make it suitable for sophisticated brand applications where visual clarity and subtlety matter.
- PMS 7454 C displays a moderately dark appearance, with an LRV of 25.96. - The color leans distinctly cool due to its blue undertone and position in the blue spectrum. - PMS 7454 C exhibits moderate saturation without being vivid or overpowering. - The undertone presents hints of gray, contributing to its muted, neutralized effect. - The color is relatively stable across different finishes, but glossier sheens can enhance its chromatic strength.
- PMS 7454 C is frequently referenced in design literature for applications that require a reserved and contemporary blue, such as brand environments, display fabrication, and tradeshow graphics.
PMS 7454 C is well suited for brand and marketing installations, signage, and exhibition components requiring a disciplined yet distinct blue. Its muted tone provides legible contrast on light backgrounds while avoiding the harshness of brighter or more saturated blues. When evaluating this color for a project, review finish and ambient lighting, as increased sheen may slightly intensify its blue profile. Surface uniformity is important, as uneven application can diminish the intended subtlety and neutrality. Compared to similar colors, PMS 7454 C will typically read less saturated and cooler, making it valuable where a subdued and technology-friendly image is needed.

The finish you select for Pantone PMS 7454 C can noticeably impact how the color is perceived on physical components such as signage or exhibit displays. Glossy finishes will make PMS 7454 C appear slightly more saturated and may add brightness, intensifying its blue character. Satin or semi-gloss finishes balance reflectivity and subtlety while maintaining color clarity. Matte finishes will mute the color, making PMS 7454 C look softer, less saturated, and potentially darker. When color-critical decisions are required, always sample PMS 7454 C in the intended finish and under the planned lighting to ensure it meets your brand standard in context.
A standard 11 ounce spray can of PMS 7454 C generally covers about 20 to 25 square feet with one coat, depending on application technique, surface texture, and color uniformity targets. Because PMS 7454 C has moderate saturation and a darker value, two or more coats may be necessary for full, even coverage, especially on light or porous surfaces. To estimate how many cans you need, measure the total area to be painted and divide by the expected coverage per can, adjusting for the number of coats required for your color target. Always test coverage on your actual substrate as factors like porosity and surface preparation affect yield.
Before committing to a full production run of PMS 7454 C, it is recommended to order a sample in your chosen finish and apply it to the actual substrate under the intended lighting conditions. This allows stakeholders to evaluate color accuracy, finish, and any changes in hue caused by gloss or texture. Sampling helps ensure PMS 7454 C aligns with your brand specification and avoids costly adjustments later. Approval processes for brand-facing applications should always include review of a physical sample panel in its final context.
Pantone PMS 7454 C is frequently referenced for brand environments and display fabrication projects that require a reserved, modern blue presence. Its balanced, muted tone has made it a choice for exhibit graphics, signage systems, and contemporary marketing displays where a professional, technology-friendly image is prioritized. While specific trademarked uses are not listed here, PMS 7454 C fits well in disciplined branding programs and settings where strong but subtle color differentiation is important.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 7454 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
